Also, what is up with the amount of useless utility skills? Who on earth in their right mind would use physical skills other than rampage? The lesser used skills need a total overhaul and makeover to increase build diversity and unpredictability.
I’ve been saying this for a long time. Kick and Stomp are basically garbage and Throw Bolas doesn’t work on anyone with half of a brain. Also, half of the new Rage skills are bad as well. As you said the Sundering Leap is clunky, and Shattering Throw has less than a second of actual usefulness.
Things i’d like to see and or suggestions.
Shattering Throw: I see three ways I would like to see this skill be reworked into, all of them adding viable uses.
Option 1- Remove the bleeding, add the skill’s ability to remove protection, stability, and or auras. Increased Cooldown.
Option 2- Remove the bleeding, completely rework the rock to stay up in a static area as a wall for 7 seconds and explode upon re-activation for cone AoE damage(reflects while up). Remove Stability gained and Blocking while activating. Increased cooldown. Rename to Shattering Wall
Option 3- Completely rework the wall ability to be channeled on arm for 2-3 seconds, reflecting during that time. Remove Stability gain from skill and remove blocking while activating. Explodes on re-activate for cone AoE damage+the same bleeding damage/duration as before. Increase cooldown to 25 seconds from 15.
Sundering Leap
Option 1-Lower number of targets to 3. Lower Vulnerability stacks from 10 to 5. Lower cast time to 1/2 a second. Remove the crippling. Add a unique non-removable cripple for 2-3 seconds that lowers movement speed by 50%.
Reasoning: I really want to see this skill become a viable gap closer but still compete with Hammer burst/primal burst and be fairly balanced. In PvP with so many cleanses and condition removal, Warrior is put in a very tough position to actually be able to compete melee wise. This will force the use of ports or shields to mitigate the heat. Maybe arenanet thought it was a “utility” because of it’s ability to close gaps, but the emphasis is too much on damage, on not enough on actual utility. (After all, my Sword 2, GS 5, and both Hammer bursts can do the same thing basically in terms of utility)
Option 2-Lower targets to 3. Lower Vulnerability stacks from 10 to 5. Leaves a crater in the ground in the radius of the leap that’s impassible for a 3-5 seconds. Increase cooldown.
Reasoning-Just like with Option 1, I’d like to see this skill have less damage output and more actual “Utility”. It is in the Utility section after all…
Stomp
Option 1-Add gain 1 might stack per foe hit. Lower cooldown to 40 seconds from 45.
Kick
Add 2-3 seconds of Daze, possibly only if the skill is successful.

I’ve had this problem for a little over a week now. After doing some searching I found a lot of old posts going back 2 years. And now it’s happening to me. It started with random DC’s and getting an Error Code 5:x and occasionally 7:x, after talking with my ISP (Verizon) they’ve determined it was nothing on their end. I received a new modem and replaced all cables, set ipv4 to static, forwarded all ports, took both Windows and modem firewalls down to test, even had the in-house line checked out. There’s absolutely nothing on my end. I’ve done all the shortcut fixes they have said in those posts and nothing resolves the issue. Here’s a link of my ping path that clearly shows A-net having a problem with my ISP. There’s nothing I can do but wait for A-net to fix their problem. :/

I wouldn’t say it’s unique because it doesn’t have one. It just means it’s the one left out of having one. I understand that it may or may not make them feel like “Toys R Us” toys. And regardless of that statement being subjective to opinion; If they thought it was, they wouldn’t have added it to most of the legendaries. To me it feels like at this point, it’s a request for equality. They added it to most, so I believe all should have it.
Think of the situation in another perspective. Most people probably see it unfit that the GS users can combine two to create Eternity, (even if some of the effects are broken). That in itself is inequality. I’m simply wanting the same for the shield, in terms of just a simple footfall.
I mentioned I didn’t want it to be too harsh or flashy, simple krytan letters, etched in the ground that light up blue will suffice. No hardcore spilling milk/oil. (Looking at you GS users). Just because I know people have poured money into it. (Like myself). I’ve also made Kamohoali’i and Twilight. So I appreciate a good footfall/aura.

Official response on the shield is that it won’t be getting any improvements, because it is already at peak aesthetic perfection.
Can you link to the post or official word of them saying that? Just curious.

Oh thank you! I wasn’t aware it was changed. Last time I saw the weapon I didn’t think it did.
My main complaint/suggestion is that the legendary shield, The Flameseeker Prophecies, has no footfall. (nothing to trail as you walk).
I’m suggesting maybe some Krytan letters etched in the ground in bright blue, not even anything too fancy. Just a little more incentive to make it because it also doesn’t have an aura; which can be overlooked seeing as the aura around the shield is massive.
I am aware that there are other legendary weapons that do not have a footfall as well. (Off the top of my head Minstrel, and Howler.) So don’t think I JUST want this one upgraded. :P
Just a suggestion to give the weapon some more love and incentive. (Seeing as it is the only legendary with actual lore from GW in it) ;]
These have been known bugged skills for a long time. Even the wiki has them listed.

Funny how being crippled or chilled actually makes you hit with it a LOT harder. Which is the one scenario where if they buffed mobile strikes to remove cripple and chilled would actually weaken this ability.
Yes but you have to remember, the skill in it’s entirety was meant for movement and slashing multiple foes. It doesn’t necessarily buff the skill when you’re chilled/crippled/immobilized, you’re just hitting less targets. For single targets it’s great. But if you’re actually wanting to traverse a playing field and or hit multiple foes it’s a hindrance.
