Guild Wars 2

This is actually a great thing wow. Probably the first of its kind I’ve seen in an MMO. And boys, I ’ve been in a lot of forums of MMOs in the past few years, but the generosity of the GW2 Community is unreachable. You guys are bomb and I hope you keep it going!

Okay so, you gotta understand how hard it is for me to write this stuff. I’m not very suited for this. I mean, this is very weird. To ask for things from complete stranger and trying to show off myself and explain why I deserve … this? Its really strange.. But whatevs, more about that later.
At first I didnt want to come here and try this, cause I felt I can do it alone and there are probably people that need some help more then me.

But I’ve come to the conclusion that I can atleast try, cause I’m really overwhelmed at the moment and hope theres someone out there willing to help :)

So yea, I came back to this game about a month ago. Before that I quit around HoT launch. I came back and mained a Rev for a while and switched between newly created characters to find the class I enjoy the most. Seems like I finally found it with the Mesmer/Chronomancer. I’m seriously in love with the supportive playstyle and high burst damage in wvw and stuff. But I also had the crazy idea to craft a legendary with all the mats I gathered in the past 3 years and selling many many things in my bank, to finally acquire my favorite legendary “The Flameseeker Prophecies”. So I was broke, but still had to gear my fresh level 80 Mesmer. I could just manage to buy my desired exotic armor set and craft the runes for it, after I farmed the whole last week.

Today I joined an HP Train again, I think the third or forth time this month, to level up my elite spec. So yea, as always I tipped the HP Tour Guide Person some gold, which was unfortunately the last I had. good job me :D

So yea, I still have to buy Sigils, Weapons and… well… a highly desired Skin. A sword skin. U can probably guess it… Lord Taeres’s Shadow. Yep I am mainstream and will use that skin on a chronomancer, I know :D But hey, I love that skin and it fits my mesmer quiet good. even though I have nothing transmuted yet lol…
Oh well, you can see I still have alot to go through until I can finally jump into the most fun part for me, which is wvw roaming with my guild.

So maybe theres a way I can get some help to reach my goal. I’ve always been to nice to people, helping where I can, spending my whole evening showing a new player the ascalon dungeon, trying to cheer up a guild mate or friend even though I dont feel all that great myself, popping mentor tag helping people in the open world out with achievements or world bosses or just tipping people that did services for me :)
I’m not the person to ask for stuff or crying for help. Maybe its the social anxiousness I developed over the years or just the fact I dont want any drama. But I guess its good to ask, seek for help or count on others sometimes. idk. anyway. Thanks in advance!

Keep it up guys, I’m not expecting much from this, but I just wanted to tell u that u’re awesome and I’m happy to be part of this community. Ok enough bum kissing. Sorry. :D

EDIT #2: So the only thing left on my gear (except for ascended stuff obviously lol) would be the sigils. Sigil of Fire and Sigil of Air..
They are pretty expensive and I dont really want more than I originally asked for, but because someone asked me to add it to this post I’m just going to do that :o

after a rather long break since last year and alot of pauses before that and now coming back to the game with extreme excitement, I thought I should finally go for a legendary.
So, I basically recorded every single step of the first collection of The Flameseeker Prophecies. I saw some other people doing similar videos on youtube, but not exactly for the legendary shield. So I thought – why not do one myself

I will continue to record the rest of the collections and the crafting of the legendary as soon as I complete them!

Please don’t be to harsh with the quality in some sections of the video. Youtube is a kitten and tuned the quality down quiet a bit -.-
I hope you enjoy and maybe it’ll help or motivate you to go for it aswell!

Engineer brings alot into PvP in terms of damage, support AND survivability.

Some people like to call Engi the allrounder class, because you can literally run everything with it, depending on your build.
If you dont already know, engineer uses different kits which all have different abilitys from supporting heals or boons, to simple burst damage or damage over time (conditions).

I guess its a hard class to start the game with because its so versatile and hard to play efficiently, but thats all trainable.

So yea, as soon as you found ur favourite playstyle you can choose from different builds to play engi your way, wether its condition damage, burst damage or tanky survivability build.

EDIT: I HIGHLY suggest you to watch some youtube videos about your class. There are many pvp and wvw videos about every class which can help you choosing ur favourable playstyle. Just search something like “gw2 wvw engineer roaming” or something like that.

Yea, just dont buy the expansion if you dont need all the new stuff. Don’t know where your problem is that you need to post that into the forum and open just another thread on this topic.

What’s the point of FGS champ train now? It gives champ bags at such a slow rate compared to SW.

Cause it gives some versatility. People are still doing it, cause farming only one spot gets stale. Also the drops arent that bad.
I personally switch it around and farm somewhere else everyday. Some days only Dungeons/Fractals, some days SW, FGS or Orr. That way i always have a point where i am motivated to farm a specific method, even tho it was very stale a week ago.

Great to see new prople enjoying the game! It really is a masterpiece imo

As someonr already said, start all the Dungeon storys at level 30, beginning with Ascalon. Especially in the low levels with other new people, dungeons can be alot of fun. Thats also how i met most of my ingame friends!

Take your time and explore the world or even the lore, it might lead you to some Jumping Puzzles and hidden Storys

FGS and Orr are still pretty good and often used farm spots and places for Champ trains.
Make sure you use LFG Tool to search for FGS Champ Train Taxis. Join the groups and join their map. Easy way to enter a full map
