Blink, null field, and veil is what I’m currently using as util skills. Currently, I am not using any Sigils of Energy

Heya, been a while since I posted in here. I recently joined up with a WvW guild and we run about 12-20 people a night. First thing’s first, I am very squishy in these runs. I am always dying very early on in fights even though I believe I am timing my dodging correctly and I am sticking to the driver without necessarily being the front line. Obviously, there is room to improve on that account, but I want to take a serious look at my build. I’ve tested a few different builds, but nothing that I’ve really found to improve the situation of my survivability. Therefore, I’m looking for some help with some builds that will help my survivability in these smaller sized WvW groups. I’m looking something that will be more of a support role in the group than being a high damaging role (which would most likely result in me being a glass cannon).

Hello, I have spoken to some other people who are playing GW2 with Verizon Fios as their internet providers and we all seem to be having issues with GW2 connection. It is a mix of having higher ping (sometimes ridiculous ping up to 3,000 for me even though my speedtest says I have 8ms) and functions of the game not working properly (i.e. Cannot decline or accept party invitations). If you have Verizon Fios or another internet provider and having issues with your connection to GW2, please post here so Anet can see, and hopefully resolve the issue. Thanks!

Just got back into the game and I am curious where I can champion farm. I used to do in Frostgorge Sound but now apparently nobody does it there, so I’m assuming it has transitioned elsewhere. Any information would help! Thanks!

Edit: I like shatter because of its explosive qualities. It has good movement kills quick and has an epic player skill cap.

This ^ but to be able to have good movement and kill quick you need to be experienced with it and be reactive. The skill cap is high but if you put in the work to get a feel for the it, it can be mastered over time. Many mesmers play shatter style but to play it at a basic level, is not that hard. Get 3 clones and press F1. But when you understand the full extent of the class, you fully utilize all 4 F keys (especially in PvP) to match the situation. If you are willing to put in the work and time, Shatter is CURRENTLY the build with the highest payoff.

In terms of Phantasm, while it is very simple and isn’t as difficult to play kittenter, it is enjoyable to see how much damage your izerker and iduelist can pump out. Don’t count it out if you enjoy playing it.

Also, as a side note, Mantra mesmers are looking good after the patch so don’t rule them out either.

Finally, I picked mesmer because I believed that it was a challenging class to play but the payoff for working to be better at the class was very rewarding, which it is. But it shouldn’t be ignored that the mesmer is a very fun class. I advise you to try out each build and see how you like them and if you understand the builds, try making your own to get a better understanding of the class in general. Pick the class that YOU think is fun to play and the class that you THINK is enjoyable. Once you’ve tried them all out, make the decision for yourself and I wish you the best of luck

I use a GS | Sword/Pistol. The Iduelist I believe is stronger than the zerker but why pick one of them when you can have both! I think that double sword is really fun to play but at the end of the day, I’m guessing you are looking for the best results and I think (unsure after patch) this is the best for a phantasm mesmer.

If you still want to role with Sword/Sword get a GS as offhand. Hope I could help!

Never thought I would ever go Mantra mesmer but these buffs…

Will probably just roll with a PvP shatter build but if I can come up with a good phantasm hybrid build, I will most definitely use that
