Thanks for the details. I know many saying Katana to the one and two handed version,
i think it is because you can wield a katana one handed(see Niten Ichiry?) and both havent a visual difference except for the length.

The name thief is just a generic term, so A-net.
The thief has the role in the game as the stealths, acrobatic and/or shadow class.
So they can be played as: Assassins; Ninjas; Thiefs, or what ever.

Hi everybody,
After i saw Belinda’s Greatsword i laughing and crying.
The class that wish to have a katana(black one) since beta, was the thief.
And now they got one, Belinda’s GREATSWORD.
Good job, trolled every thief in the entire game(Assassins equilibrium the duration increase to a half second, was nice too), A-net you made my day^^.

I want that as an one handed sword, please!
I must dual wield two black katana.
Need it so badly, throwing money at the monitor but nothing happend so far.
Both have the same sound.
The sound is more a canon instead of a rifle and after the shot you can hear a mechanic thats reload the gun like gear wheels. (not so easy to discribe it)

@ Kisszboss: They have a special sound.
But not a special animation.
I got one and use it on my engi.
The problem by an engi is, just 1 make the sounds because 2-5 have own sounds.
If they dont fix it today or tomorrow than is 33% of the time gone.
Many of us havent much time and thats would be fair.
But yes, the fix is more important now.
The drop of the Rifles is broken. They dont rly drop anymore.
Thats why the price explode and i hope they will fix it asap.

The Rifles dont rly drop anymore from the chest. The TP price explode because is exist just a handfull of them. Yesterday the drop was fine and now… plz fix it.
The Watchknights dont drop any. After 5! runs still not a single chest or other loot.
The bug still exist and after the patch the drop is broken. Scarlets Rifles and the Wachtknights dont drop. Plz fix it asap you can.
As a sign of good will(and good service) you can increase the chance for cores and the rifles.

Hm… i dont know why you reduce the initiative overall recovery to fix this problem.
The reason why thiefs use so much initiative is the problem about the skills.
To high initiative cost AND/OR to less dmg so the thief must spam this skills.
Another problem is the no CD from the skills itself.
If you havent a CD on the skills you choose everytime the best protect and dmg skill.
So you have just Autoatack and two other skills = 3 skills(wich thief build use more than 3?). So we need more skills to choose AND/OR skills with equal effectivity.
If you reduce the initiavie is the problem not fixed, we still need the initiative because
of the reasons i allready mentioned.
And why in pve too? I dont hear about a OP thief in dungeons… and WvW is just a mass fight(biger army wins)

If i remember right than have the thief the least defence and live ingame and the least heal/protect possibility than other classes.
I am not a fan from invisibility because the hole build must fixing on it and the thief got only protect during the stealth and during the stealth is the dmg output equal zero. And all other people hate it, i dont know why because i havent problems vs stealth thiefs but ok.
And if the thief dont use stealth they use doge bacause they havent much skills to block, aoe stun, heal full each 9 secs, self reanimate, stability…
So if i see it right, after the patch it gives more stealth thiefs. Stealth thief got nerf a bit, yes, but without perma vigor and the lesser initiative recovery, is a good defance with dodging, impossible.
Hm… the thief needs other changes. Changes that fix the problems that i allready mentioned.

Sorry but, a chainsaw without sound…
Why not so:
Only the one with the weappon hears the noises.
And an option to disable the special weappon sounds.

The halloween greatsword-chainsaw-skin doesn´t anymore the chainsaw sounds by attack.
I hope that you fix it fast, other and i loved this sounds and have pay many to hear it.
