This isn’t saying “Thieves are OP” nor am I attempting to nerf them in any huge fashion, this is to balance the weapons for the Thief to create a larger set of builds to be of use, rather than limiting the thief to two weapon sets.

Thief is fine. Right. That’s why
Short Bow:
-Blink
-Cripple
-Poison
-Bleeding
-AoE
-Ricochet Shots

Pistols (Dual Wield)
-Bleeding
-Blind

Daggers have far more moveability than the sword/gun combo simply because of heartseeker, dislike how I said to change it, but the fact is still that there is a huge gap between the abilities of the weapon sets. I was told all weapon sets were balanced, but this is not the case with the thief.

I guess I was that unlucky with the recharges a few times. I tried again and it worked.

Soulbound vs Account bound

I feel that many things that are soulbound in Guild Wars 2 should instead be account based rather than being soulbound to a single character; MAINLY I’m talking about
-Karma
-Dungeon Badges
This is due to the fact that it forces you to play on one character for long periods of time rather than being able to switch between characters and have fun playing different classes.

Karma needs to be account bound, there is such a huge amount of farming that goes into the collection of obtaining karma. (Which people need a lot of, 42k karma armor + the legendary weapon) The straits of desolation are full of people who play on the same character the entire day while zerging for karma collection ASAP. I find it odd that Karma isn’t account bound due to the fact that low level characters gain little to no karma the entire leveling experience. Again, why force people to play on the same character all day when they could easily switch between characters for the same goal.

I find it quite ridiculous that I’m forced to farm a dungeon on a single character over and over again, I’d quite like to be able to switch to another character and be able to do the same dungeon for the same reason, just being able to mix up what I do for the dungeon. There’s no real reason as to why the dungeon badges are soulbound for your character, one way or another you will have to farm the dungeon to get the badges. Why force a person to play on one character specifically for a dungeon amor, weapon, or gift. It just seems like a chore to do.

The badges of Honor in WvW are the only tokens in the game that correctly do what I wish. I can switch between any character and still collect the badges for the same goal. Why do karma and dungeon tokens punish people by forcing them to play on the same character for long periods of time?

The problem is that certain weapon sets are far better than other weapon sets, changes I feel may be needed.
Daggers (Dual Wielding)
-Heart Seeker: Should only be able to be used against a target. This prevents players from using it as a leap mechanism to fly away from people.

Sword/Gun
-Can now move while using Pistol Whip (instead of channeling the seven slashes in place, allows you to move while channeling)

Shortbow
-Remove the blink and replace with a blind
OR
Pistols (Dual Wielding)
-Pistol shots now ricochet passively
-Pistol Talent 7% Proc of Ricochet now has 7% chance to create exploding AoE bullets

Optional: Replace the blind from pistols with the blink from shortbow.

Dual Pistols are severely underused due to how strong the Shortbow is, also Dagger dual wielding is by far the strongest of all the melee weapon sets that the thief has.

i.e. I’m tired of seeing Dagger/Dagger w/Shortbow Thieves because it’s so far better than the other weapon set combinations.

1.) Improvisation (#7 Deadly Arts)
Fails to refresh any of my skills when I successfully steal, despite the tooltip stating that it refreshes one of each type of skill. (I’ve tested this with only one type of each skill, all of which are on cooldown at the time, used my F1 key and had no skills reset their CD)

2.) Panic Strike (#11 Deadly Arts)
When using scorpion wire, if the target is below 50%, it will immobilize them in place without moving them back towards you like the skill is supposed to do.

3.) Scorpion Wire
In general will fail to drag most enemies back towards the user, despite having nothing to block or inhibit dragging the enemy backwards. Will also fling some enemies back behind you when pulling off a wall in WvW
