PUGed with 3 people from a guild and one random person, in the 3rd fractal the guild started acting up and it turned into a bicker fest. Long story short one of them was able to boot me without a group vote, just an instant kick me back to LA. Is this an exploit? I saw them advertising on gw2lfg a minute later “on third fractal before bonus boss” so I know that they didn’t all leave.
too long didn’t read
Binding isn’t what I was getting at through the thread. By the title, I am suggesting a way to obtain GW1 through GW2.
I was looking at the achievements today and was disappointed seeing all the hall of heroes achievements.
I I’ll start by saying GW1 was an awesome game, and I’d still play it on occasion and pwn it up in faction battles if my account still existed(it was hacked and the original e-mail address I used is gone). It is so uniquely different compared to GW2 and there is so much history that GW2 players should have a way to get a GW1 account and bind the two together.
A gem store purchase would be cool or otherwise some sort of quest line to complete.
I don’t see a huge surprised in a new pay to buy expansion. They did a decent job of bringing out the first expansion in GW1, I bought it and was happy though skipped the 2nd and 3rd expansions due to lack of interest and etc etc.
My frame lag has improved today.
The main thing I noticed is that there were much fewer players shown in dragon type events, seems like around 40 people being shown now. I assume the max per zone has been decreased because now people are getting thrown into overflows. When I was frame lagging there were 40 people showing at once, but as I ran around another 40 different people would show up..seemed like close to 100 people at some dragon events and it laggggggggggggged
ESO really is the next mmo Im really looking forward to….
http://tamrielfoundry.com/2013/03/interview-dan-dunham/read that, and then ask yourself why anet cant get 200people on screen and have a playable situation…….
Jazhara Knightmage.4389, that’s what happens when programmers code for performance from the beginning. It clearly wasn’t the case with this game. But ESO seems to be doing it right.
If ESO delivers at least 50% of what they promised, I will switch in heartbeat as well.
This is so far my favorite quote from the article:We test every build with around 200 players having a massive fight to make sure that even in the thick of it, the frame-rate stays smooth and the experience is great.
Now that’s what I’m talking about. That shows they have great technical leadership, expertise and talent and that they have great common sense.
It’s pretty ridiculous that you say ANet hadn’t considered performance when building this game. Obviously it went through the same types of discussions that every one of the other 100 graphical, third person MMOs has gone through. You would have to be a fool to think that ESO and {insert developer} will have no issues with their game because they used 200 players in beta tests. It shows no technical leadership, expertise or talent and is only expanding on the same ideas that started with Gemstone, Meridian 59, Ultima Online, Everquest, WoW, GW2, and so on.
Is this your first MMO? Welcome and please leave your tissues at the door.
I’ve been frame lagging pretty hard during dragon events since a day or two after the “official” recent patch date. At first the lag was obviously server side, the dragons would stay down and prone for too long and for example Claw could be nearly killed in the first time he went down.
This was experienced on Stormbluff Isle. My PC hasn’t had any type of hardware changes and every other graphically intensive game still runs just like as well as it always has been.
It seems likely that the newest patch introduced server lag, frame lag, network lag, or a combination of them all in dragon events. Loading times seem slower too and running around LA has been choppy.
Once at Jormag I stood around AFK and ignored all the first events, and only on the last one where he is standing where the chest spawns I grabbed a bazooka and fired at him the whole time. This time I got no chest. Maybe you could going in and and attack the dragon instead of use the siege weapons on adds.
Put in buy order, leave for a day. Log in tomorrow, collect items and adjust buy order. Log in 3rd day and readjust buy order. Log in 2 days later and sell all —- that’s where you can count x amount of gold “per hour” of effort, though the actual time invested is multiple days.
i havent seen bot trains indeed…but i have seen something else
a player gathering a tree\node\herb then disappears, then appears near another to gather then disappears again and so on
I dunno if this is a bug, exploit, new hack or me becoming crazy…i’ve seen it more than once though.
I would do what you can to report these users.
Isn’t ascended only 2% better than exotic? As long as you aren’t using it for PvP it won’t matter. One argument would be that ascended is scaled down to exotic in WvW.
Yeah, on the side of the map screen. Customizable and just when you bring up the world map an easy click. 3-5 would be enough to help us without ruining the fun of looking around the map.
This would save some tedium of searching around the world map for some places I travel to constantly.
