Combining the holidays and the diminished game play with the fact that some BG guilds played 24 hours shifts, you guys put forth quite a display this weekend. But can you sustain it is the question.

Yeah they use the sub-guild tag NF or Not FOE so they can do their exploiting without soiling the FOE name. But alas, it isn’t as elegant of a plan as they intended.

Yah, just careful with that. Idc if people from my server are banned for exploiting, but it will suck in the future if a guild is wrongly accused. Just saying.

I agree. I also dislike when people blame a server for the actions of a select few. There will always be innocents that get blamed accidentally, and the guilty that don’t get caught. We have however, found 3 undeniably guilty players here.

When you see this happen, please send me a message in game telling which map, where, and how. If possible also include an account name. If you can get this information to me quickly, I can make sure that justice is dealt.

We have a server wide Blacklist for players who take advantage of exploits. FoE is not interested in unfair play. You cannot make assumptions about their guild just because of one person.

Blackgate is a great server. These guys are one of the best opponents that Sea of Sorrows has ever had. You will no doubt find playing on Blackgate to be a challenge versus Jade Quarry and Sea of Sorrows, but you will always have their respect.

You can expect major queue wait times in SoS, JQ, SoR, BG and FA. Maguuma, CD and DB would probably be slightly better. Kaineng would probably have the least wait time of them all, specially if you play in NA prime times. And these 9 servers would be T1-T3 in the foreseeable future.

All in all, if queue time is a big turn off for you, your best bet would be Kaineng.

This is not entirely true. Queue times aren’t uncommon, but its even more rare for all maps to have queue times. You’ll mostly find Queues on EB and Home maps.

My choice of a Tier 2 server would be SoR or Blackgate personally.

Go to Sorrows Furnace, Gates of Madness, or Devonas Rest if you’re looking for small scale fighting.

Transfer now to your destination server, who knows how long this will last!

lol yeah SF bandwaggoned onto the prx train. If they truly wanted a competitive t1 they would have joined BG. Totally lost respect for their guild.

SoS is getting A LOT of transfers is quite understandable they move over JQ we have been longer in T1 than any server this means we are the most stable wvw server, they just want a challenge and not join SoS to have every BL covered and conquered 24/7, BG just hit t1 again, you can’t assure BG will be able to stay in T1

Correction: Since November, we have had three guilds transfer.

PTX: Not the same sized guild they once were, but still fielding 10-15 everynight.
ND: Very large SEA guild.
TRA: Very small Italian guild.

Guilds that have left SoS:
RMA: Large Brazilian Guild
PRX: Large NA guild.

Something changed with siege within a recent patch, but it seems to not despawn anymore.

First off, I hope you find a suitable new home in NA. Our servers have a very diverse player base of timezones, it is normal to see many players online at any given time of day, especially in the higher WvW Tiers.

You will lose all influence. You will retain your guild emblem and will not have to rebuy it. However, you will regain influence very quickly. I have a medium sized guild and had everything rebuilt within two weeks and everything that mattered to us as a WvW guild rebuilt in a single week. If you’re really concerned about influence upgrades, you can trade gold for influence at 20 gold per 10,000 influence.

The higher in WvW tiers, the more of a healthy recruiting pool and general population you will find. You will find PvX on any server, but depending on how competitive you’d like to have your WvW, you’d want to go to a server that is in the Tier 2 or above.

Sea of Sorrows has one of the strongest NA and Oceanic populations in the game, plenty of recruits to be had, great WvW without queue times. European hours really just need a guild to step into that slot to recruit the players during that timezone, but it is our weakest in WVW. For PVX, you’ll find plenty of people looking to do any event during any time. We organize opening for the Orr Cathedrals every other night and WvW strategies that span cross guilds, sort of like an alliance that reaches through the whole server.

Sanctum of Rahl would also be a great choice for server as they have a heavy NA population, but they lack Oceanic and European time zones.

Storm Bluff Isles has a heavy NA, medium Oceanic population, and medium European.

As I stated before, all of these servers are going to be filled with PvXers, you should consider which server you want to call your WvW home.

It was one week, we got congratulated, grow up and stop rubbing it in other people’s face. We earned the win and other servers realized it, stop being a prick.

I don’t want JQ to be represented that way and while I certainly do not speak for other people, I’m sure the majority of JQ wouldn’t want to be represented that way either.

Keep up the fights everyone, and ignore the JQ forum trolls.

I wouldn’t call it QQing when we bust our kitten to get triple waypoints in SoS and they just exploit into the lords room. More of just frustration at the massive amount of foul play this match-up. Pardon me though, continue with your sweeping generalizations.

There is a difference between not putting up orange swords while placing two superior rams at inner/outer and exploiting into a keep.

See previous post. Even if they HAD a mesmer to port them into outer, the second they touched the gate the waypoint would have gone contested. This didn’t happen. The flip was under a minute. That my good sir, is exploitation.

Bay was contested, we even killed JQ players when we were hitting the inner.

Sea of Sorrows has a healthy mix of North Americans and Australians. Sanctum of Rahl is a great choice with a bunch of nice people though.

Sanctum of Rall were the best opponents that SoS ever have faced to date. They gave us the biggest challenge. I feel that if that one specific match had ended in SoR’s favor, they would have been sitting in SoS’s throne right now.

We’re very excited to play against Blackgate. Most guilds on SoS have a bone to pick with them for one reason or another

Sea of Sorrows is currently looking for more strong NA players. We have committed to building a community oriented server, which has been the key to our success in WvW. Our NA player base is very competitive and constantly build upon our WvW strategies/meta game in biweekly meetings. Told you guys that SoS had strong NA coverage

My mistake, but I can confirm that the ball started rolling during NA Prime. The Oceanics handed the non existent Euro prime 600 points at 5 AM PST 10/24. Around 1 PM PST we were at 150~ PPT. We were at 400+ PPT before the end of NA Prime, before patch. Now we’re at 620 PPT at 1:49 AM PST.

You realize we had an advantage on you starting at NA prime time right? Its not even Oceanic prime yet.

Its the end of prime time right now for US… We’ve been riding 300+ since start of US primetime.

If SoS didn’t have an oceanic crew or if SoR actually had some oceanics/asianics, this match really wouldn’t be close at all.

NA Primetime SoR > SoS NA Primetime
Oceanic SoS > Oceanic SoR

I don’t believe the SoS PPT income for the entire length of the match up correlates with your opinion.

SoS had no transfers over the weekend.

SoS still lacks numbers to fill all four maps, we’d love a few more transfer guilds.

The SoS NA guilds are not giving up. We have put in 5-12+ hour shifts, myself playing for 24 hours straight. Our oceanic players have not been challenged before, so naturally they collapse underneath the pressure. I’m not saying they don’t have the moxy in WvW, I’m saying they are behind the NA players of most servers in terms of meta game. They will learn as time goes on and we will get better as a server.
