Well, fortunately, Anet’s anti-farming stance is crystal clear at this point, so anyone who expects to get their enjoyment out of grinding mobs now has ample time and opportunity to find a game that suits their playstyle. Not saying whether it’s a good thing or not, but there’s no excuse now for playing GW2 if you like farming mats and mobs.

Anything that reduces the attraction for players to mindlessly grind mobs is a plus for me. It’s true, though, that removing loot altogether in situations like this is a bit of overkill, especially when there’s already code in place to prevent farming.

I’d hate to see what one would get for doing the monthly achievement on a lowbie character, then. What would you get, like 1 coin and a few sticks of butter?
