I love the idea of this, too bad I’m not on the EU Hope you all have fun!

This is an interesting question. It all comes down to personal preference I suppose. This was an internal battle I had with myself whether to keep my Warrior as my main (which was my first character) or switch to my Mesmer as my main, both had world completion. In the end I went with my Mesmer because I had lots more fun with it in terms of playing, mapping, dungeoning and overall roaming around. I even found that my Mesmer seemed to have more survivability than my Warrior (but that could just be builds)

Personally, I would take Ranger over Guardian, simply because I love the pet aspect of the Ranger, and the weapon variety Rangers can have to be melee or ranged. I found that I had more fun with Ranger when I was mapping as opposed to Guardian, because playing Ranger as a class was more challenging (to me). But as I said up top, it all comes down to personal preference.

I think it’s just part of the effect the skill does. Not sure if it can be removed. You can try turning off post processing in the graphics options?

I still have GW1 installed, and I jump on from time to time to reminisce haha. So if you want, I’d be glad to join you for a vanquish, I’m looking to get my HoM score up too, but gave up because I didn’t really want to play alone. Mine is no where near as close to finishing as yours though, I think I’m only 32/50 or something like that. Regardless, happy to jump on to GW1 again to play, would certainly bring back some fun memories

World boss train and dungeons (Citadel of Flame is probably the fastest). World boss train yields me a lot of gold items, which gives me nearly 10-12g a day from the TP. I’f I’m really lucky I get some exotics and gain up to 20g. The most I’ve made in a day is 22g with dungeon runs.

Thanks for the reply guys, I guess in the end it’s all up to luck really. I’ll just have to keep trying and see how I go. Alternatively, with the amount of money the world boss train yields, I may as well end up buying the darn thing

I’m sure this question has been asked a fair few times already, but does anyone have any tips on the best method to obtain a precursor? I’ve been playing since launch day and have yet to have any drop for me, let alone the one I actually want.

I’ve been after the Bifrost since the start of last year, and after months of saving up to purchase it, after the wardrobe patch it jumped up to nearly 1400g. Keep in mind I’m a casual gamer, I only play a few hours a night and on weekends, so I don’t have a lot of time to invest in gold farming and stuff.

I’ve tried my hand at the Mystic Forge, doing dungeons everyday to gain tokens in order to trade for Exotic Weapons and putting 4-12 staves into the Forge in hopes a precursor will pop, with no avail.

I’ve recently started doing the World Boss Train everyday as well as I heard the bonus chests the bosses give have the highest chance of dropping a precursor, but then again the chances of it dropping are still very low, and the chances for it to be The Legend are even worse.

At this point I’ve just gone with the “be patient” approach but after nearly 2 years with no precursor I’m losing hope! Have any of you guys had success stories with certain methods, or simply got luck of the draw?

After trying for hours on end all week, after what I’m sure was 200+ tickets, across various professions (Mesmer, Thief, Ranger and Warrior) I finally beat her on my warrior running 0/20/15/20/15 (0/II,VII/II/I,VII/V)

Greatsword / Rifle.

Skills: endure pain, balanced stance and signet of stamina.

I literally had 20 seconds to go an she had about 5% health left but with a nice Rifle Butt to the face I took her down the moment it happened I leapt out of my chair in victory!

The amount of money I wasted on tickets and repairs I’m sure was a lot but so worth it. To anyone who hasn’t beat her yet but is determined to: KEEP TRYING! If you do it enough times you’ll eventually memorize the battle enough to WIN!

Victus Henley 9/10. Definitely something that fits in with the lore
Ayumu Murasaki 8/10. Not sure it fits in with Lore but I like japanese sounding names (well it could fit in with lore if they are a descendant from Cantha I guess)
Damon Messer 8/10. Sounds like a Thief who would kill you if you got in his way :P

Mine was more of a joke because I couldn’t think of any cool names but my Sylvari Thief is named Herb Feverbush
