As an active WvW player who’s spent very little time in PvE since hitting 80 and a commander who’s expected (I believe so any ways) to supply siege..no..just no.

For starters the issue you raised about cost vs reward is a moot point. A ram costs 6s, you get 2s for capping a keep. It takes 80 supply to build 2 rams. That’s 8 people. 12s spent, 16s for the cap. That’s a net profit. Take into account the karma reward as well if it could be spent on siege and you’d be doubling the profit assuming it all went back into siege/upgrades. And all but negating the cost if it didn’t. WvW is THE endgame gold sink. Negating the gold costs could have dire ramifications on the economy as well as enable other sorts of horrible shenanigans.

WvW is about friends, guilds and server wide co-op. Anything that can be done to encourage this is a good thing in my opinion. And blueprints should be a valuable commodity.

And to you selfish lone rangers out there who are only interested in personal gain, tell me how much fun you’re having in WvW when it costs literally nothing to set up siege indefinitely at all exits to your spawn? With an entire map on lock down and no money to spend because all keeps/towers are upgraded already this already becomes a problem. Now imagine how bad it would be if there were no gold cost involved…

Seen as I’m going to miss the final chapter in this bloody little affair I’d just like to say thanks to everyone involved. Can’t speak much for the other BLs but SoS has been a riot for most of the week, regardless of who controlled what.

Big shout outs to CRS, ND, LUN, EPIC and all the guys with em for giving us some great fights. I’ve lost far too many hours of sleep this week seeing the sun come up trying to hold out until the NA boys come online and I know plenty of others have as well.

And of course to all the guys in SoS who’ve been there to help hold the lines. All involved should be very proud of their efforts. There’s not much more to say then that, you guys have done great.

Regardless of who wins I have to say this have been the most fun I’ve had in a WvW match up to date. And I have absolutely no doubt we’ll be doing this all again real soon. It’s been a blast

As one of the commanders SoS BL during that take back I’d first like to give a big shout out to both everyone who was present and the SoR fellas for a good fight.

Having been there from only holding Dawn’s I can see it definitely wasn’t an uncontested steam roll. Its true you guys seemed to lose heart once we got inside Bay outer walls but we’ll chalk that one up to a TZ difference.

I run 30 points in Tactics as the core of my build with Axe/WH and a rifle or bow switch. It really is just too good to pass up in Dungeons, WvW and sPvP. When it comes to solo PvE I’ve got a GS and second axe in my bag depending on how I’m feeling at the time.

As for being unable to get a gold in Dragon DE’s that sounds like a personal problem. I always do them with my Axe/WH, spend most of the time making use of the revive traits in tactics and I don’t think I’ve failed to get gold yet. The 1-3 Axe skills put out a load of damage with permanent fury+8might from Sig of Rage and FGJ. Apparently enough to earn gold from even periodic dps.

And one last things to the self professed 5 sig GS warriors in here, you know you get more from dropping just ONE of them and taking FGJ. I know one extra button every 30 seconds is a big ask when you’re mashing 2 every 6 seconds but I’m sure you’ll eventually learn to manage if you give it a go.

That is indeed a crafted set. It’s called the Barbaric set. Any AS able to worth with mithril should be able to knock you up a set for transmutes for next to nothing. That or the TP, people selling the by product of levelling crafting
