It’s also quite hard to get a full set of ascended gear.

You’re looking at 6 guild missions + 5g or 40 laurels + 50 ecto for each accessory.
For amulet its another 30 laurels.
For each ring, it’s 10 pristine relics each or play fractals long enough that you get the ring you want as a random drop (only one chance a day at that mind you).

People who have ascended gear have put in the work, lol.

I want badges for my legendary, it’s not an excuse. I can kill people in WvW no problem, but I would rather spend my time doing things in the actual game world, not confined to the same repetitive thing on 4 small maps. You want all the cool things that come with PvE? Well sorry mate, you’re going to actually have to pull your weight in something other than a zerg.

The difference is, I need to do a wide variety of things for the goal I have in mind, encouraging me to grow as a player. I do not only use the JP, I play WvW when guildies/friends ask me to come, no problem.

As for the Mesmer issue, I agree that’s a load of crap. It’s an issue on its own and I consider it cheating.

But like I said before: you take out JP badges, fine. I’ll just go and kill more in WvW. But if you really think ANet will give PvE items for people who don’t grind for it like the rest of us do, and don’t actually do anything in the GW2 world, then you’ve gone bonkers. I seriously don’t think it’s fair. Ascended gear is better, fine. But it’s main use is in fractals. What are you going to do with the agony resistance? Do you even know what it is? Did you know that that was the reason for making ascended gear in the first place?

Sheesh I don’t like ranting at this.

I don’t see the issue with farming the JP for badges. I do it because I don’t like WvW much. I do PvE and am not a noob thank you very much. People have different playing styles, and it’s not fair to only consider your stance on this matter.

It’s not that I have not given WvW a try. I’m a commander, I’ve led and observed exp trains, but at the end of the day I perfer PvE with my guild. Why would it bother you that people use the JP for badges? It takes just as much time and skill to actually do it – the JP itself (I’m thinking of Obsidian Sanctum) is long enough as it is. Include people that try and farm other players and stop others from completing the JP and you’ve got a situation that is often harder than being part of a zerg or meeting randoms and going one-on-one.

Point being, hating on the JP is definitely not something worth fixing. ANet has other more pressing issues to deal with.

Reading up on other people suggesting similar things in the forums, I think equipment swapping/saving with each build would be an incredible bonus to this idea.

One thing I really liked about GW1 was that I could save the exact attributes I per build for myself and my heroes. Attributes in GW1 convert to traits in GW2 and I really think it would be benificial to allow us to save our traits and builds!

I hate switching builds because I’m afraid of loosing that one neat trick that made a previous build so good, from memory. Allowing us to save the builds we love to play with is something I think should be reintroduced – I don’t know why it was taken out in the first place.

Not only that but I would be so bold to suggest allowing us to swap trait builds without having to go to a “trainer”. We were able to switch even professions without going to a trainer in GW1, I don’t understand by we cannot do it now. I suggest allowing this feature while the player / party is out of combat. It would make dungeons a more dynamic experience, instead of having people say “I’m gonna switch to my alt now since it has a better build. 1 sec”. I find that cheating in a sense, and just another hassle that shouldn’t be there.

Hope this gets out to ANet, any comments on the topic would be much appreciated.

Hey! Awesome that there is an infinite mining pick!

Only concern is that animation… any way you guys could consider making it more… subtle? Less lava spewing everywhere? lol

Oh and please make it account-bound

I know soul-bound means more money but it’s a bit ridiculous. People who want to spend 10$ per character to get a pick on each one can if they choose. Don’t handicap the rest of us who are not loaded with money though.

Update Issue: Order of Whisp Med Armor

Dear ANet team. I run a thief as my main and up until the patch have enjoyed the Order of Whispers medium armor skin. Now it, along with other armor skins have this mandatory red color, which completely ruins the look I’ve been working so hard to get.

The dye options have been simplified and I really don’t like the change. Please revert this back to the way it was!

My specific case was that I wanted to make an outfit with Celestial, Abyss and White Gold dyes. I succeeded and was really pleased with my thief’s final form up until the patch today, March 26th.
