But then again, how could hundreds of thousands of mats go so fast? Even with players not going back to those low lvl areas or just farming Southsun; could alts or new players end with such a stock? Idk, it just seems weird sometimes…

Another question; what does it take for a “decent” dye to drop in the first place?! Good lord…

It’s not restricted to one tier; it’s almost all of them. I doubt that Southsun dragged such a high percentage of players as to cause such a shortage. It’s not likely, right? The stocks of mats are quite simply vanishing lately. So, is this the “free market” Anet brags about? Can someone kindly explain why is it ok for all the wood, ore, t6 mats, etc. to vanish screwing most of us over? How does this happen?!!

Maybe they could implement a system that when down on mats we can invade the “Dominion of Winds” or so à la USA and get the resources we want… that’d be great!!

I usually flip seasoned wood logs and saw 200.000 logs listed at 21c. days ago (which was weird at the time because biggest lots were around 20k) and while I was watching them sell like crazy I thought of buying them myself… didn’t have the balls to pull the trigger and now bam; +500G opportunity lost!! Would’ve been enough for my leggy…

Ok, so I’m looking at several mats rise in price like crazy since May 15th due to supply shortage of all sorts… did bots take a hit or something?! Doesn’t look like the regular cycle… HUGE profit opportunity lost everywhere…

Several examples:
-Seasoned Wood Log 950.000units —-> 35.000units
-Hard Wood Log 763.000u —->141.000u
-Iron Ore 3.000.000u —->265.000u
-Gold Ore 800.000u —-> 58.000u
-Platinum Ore 2.500.000u —-> 55.000u

I’d say people are selling the ones they bought during F&F at the 50-60G mark… I’m getting screwed over this as one dropped for me and didn’t sell it when it hit +115G!!

In my case I had a similar problem because I had enabled a proxy on Internet Explorer and forgot to disable it… maybe it’s worth a look. Idk This other time I had to repair the .exe and what not; you should google that too.

Well, I laud you for having great gold making skills. Now, if you could avoid buying gems, it would really help out those who can’t make as much gold. It will ease up the demand for gems and would hopefully make it the rate more favorable to those that want to exchange for it.

Uggh, wish I didn’t have to as I despise them overall but I think they’ve secretly nerfed the droprate of Fine Transmutations Stones and I really like those; been a long time haven’t found one in any type of content be it daily, monthly, story…

It’s called greed… why would they feel for their fellow players if they can get richer faster? Just weather the storm and hope yours sell. Or do some research on the item as to how low it usually goes, that way you wont get stuck with it; or you yourself cut a couple sweet silvers…

Which teaches you and all of us to either farm CoF or flip items on the TP to ease the pain. Or just make the 40$ on your workplace instead of farming in-game… but still, it hurts!! Also, maybe next time wiki the droprates so you know what you’re heading into… I feel for you and wish the RNG gods smile upon you in the future.

I’ve never played the TP, not once. I sell my stuff and that’s it. As far as your silly ignorance comment, I’ll let others school you on the fact that it is very possible and quite common to make 2-5g+ an hour for just about anyone. Now you just sound upset. 1-10?

I’ve already made videos on here making at minimum 5g an hour, really need to do your research better before whining on forums.

I mean heck, I even bought rares and salvaged with master kits instead of BL kits just to help the community, knowing full well I’d lose money. Some people in these forums make my brain hurt… carry on.

I’m no way near to being a master at the art of flipping nor farming; but you did make it sound like you could make “1-10G+”H just by lollygagging; anyway… at the end of the day it’s the same old, it’s purely cosmetics etc. whatever. You sound angry that you can’t make X amount of gold every day. My wife plays about 1-3 hours a week on a lowbie character and she makes about 10g a week just running around. People can make 1-10+g an hour in game without ever touching the BLTC other than to press the sell button.. You just sound jealous and petty attacking the devs and other players who understand economics clearly better than you. Probably the best in game trading post I’ve ever seen, and game wide trading post, amazing idea.

PS. I love the low level areas, I find many reasons to come back even if its just to help new people. Since I’m scaled down no worries on loot stealing, xp stealing, its a pretty awesome feature.

You know what? Sure, you’re all correct; “It’s functioning very well”… It must be my imagination what is making me see players on mapchat talking about how they can’t even imagine themselves affording a rare dye much less converting their “fortune” (usually less than 10-20G) to gems. I’ll just let you, economy geniuses, do your thing and meanwhile I’ll instruct the fellas on the wonders of using the many webpages and tools to flip, speculate, and exploit the hell out of this ridiculous economy. Wow, you just gotta love how they drop some bullkitten answer on you and that’s that. Simply put, my apparently dimwit hero keeps helping people around Tyria for rates which vary from insulting copper to a couple silver coins. Now, even as he sees the gem rates rise like +300% he keeps on receiving 99copper for his deeds; that’s just awesome!! Long live the kitten heroes of Tyria. Why would a hero want gems anyway you might say; well, apparently when he’s not being a grinding machine he likes to enjoy the pleasures of life and the leisures that the gems provide. So, tired of being kittened by society he abandons his heroic path to exploit the market until further notice. (This is another different topic but I’m really insulted by the fact that I made more gold on 10H of flipping than on +600H of gameplay). JMTC.

Rox the Charr and his appearance etc. has been addressed by Aaron Coberly, Lead Character Artist on its respective post. One of the things said is that Rox’s design will lead to more character build options for Charrs in the future… I guess we could expect the same for Norns with the appearance of Braham, right?

If so, and as I stated in the Norn subforum, I’d like to see Braham’s hairstyle (and more if possible) available for all norns… and I want it for yesterday!!

I believe male norns are really lacking compared to female norns and the rest of races overall… dull faces, crappy hairstyles!!

I rate the ones mentioned and add one: Twilight > Fused Greatsword > Volcanus… LOL!!

As well as with the hairstyle, both armor and weapon are not available in-game skins. Ugh!

From the moment I created my Norn I realised that 90% of the hairstyles made you look quite kitten and boring (don’t even get me started with the Rastafari dreads) but hey, our whole civilization was stuck with that so ok I didn’t mind.

But now, this Braham appears out of nowhere rocking what is (at least from my point of view) an amazing and creative hairdo which no one else in the realm seems able to reproduce. I get that he’s an NPC and all but it’d be nice to follow up on Braham’s style and get his hairdresser to bring us some fresh ideas…

I’d like to kindly demand we get this and other hairstyles as soon as possible along with a ‘Self-Style Hair Kit’ in our mail. What do you fellow norns think?

They are intended for whomever has Dailies or gaining Laurels as one of their main activities within the game or for someone who doesn’t enjoy other aspects of the game or someone who has blown through most of the endgame already. Oh lord, how can I run dungeons, help my server in W3, do the guild missions, craft my legendary, run FOTM, and pvp in one hour playing time? Guess what, you can’t! Thank Anet they give us plenty to play with…

As I said in another annoying post, a serious suggestion would be changing Dailies for Weeklies (which would account for 7 dailies but without the “haste” or fact of logging everyday to gain the laurels).

Someone could give you an STD for free, does that mean they are doing you a favour?
