I was leveling an alt through the NPE and decided to do story modes to get some quick levels. I noticed I was always downscaled to 2 levels above the dungeon’s level (so far confirmed in AC, CM and TA story modes, I was respectively level 32, 42 and 52)
I can’t remember when was the last time I ran a story mode so I’m wondering if this is an undocumented change that is part of the NPE. This did make it feel like story modes were WAY easier than they used to be.
Just trying to cover all bases here… You know the Personal Reward Level is not shared between all characters on your account ? Were you on an alt by any chance?
It is a non-issue that people who mostly didn’t try QG keep propagating. Try it once and you’ll notice queue times aren’t that long. Disregard the math, it only speculates on a worst case scenario which most likely won’t happen (75 people queueing and fights lasting 2mins).
Also, you can farm below. And for those arguing that they’re not interested in joining the zerg below, then good for you, queue up for QG while bosses are up, it’s almost instant since chances are more people are interested in farming the bosses than doing QG.
Pros:
- Fights are timed. Nothing that involves skill should be timed, its either do or die, not some artificial “hard” caused by lame timer. It renders most condition builds useless because they are time dependent.
My personal experience says otherwise. Running Mesmer with Precision/Toughness/Condition gear, I was concerned the time limit would be a deal breaker for me. I ended up doing ALL fights up to Liandri (haven’t tried her yet) without ever changing neither build, weapons nor utility, and most of them under 1min.
Only one fight was a close call and I finished it while announcer was doing the final countdown, and this was due to the bug preventing me from switching weapons. Conditions dps is heavily kitten in group, in solo it’s way more than decent.
Yep misleading title. Nothing to see here, thanks for wasting almost 9 minutes of our time.
not my fault that you can’t skip vids. basically skipping to end to see score and tier would suffice if you cba to see it all. also since when do people care about kills?
brb let’s clear all of arah otherwise you’re a disgrace to humanity
Not my fault if you have no idea what a perfect score means. Grats for bragging that content is too easy after getting Bronze. Moving on.

This can be both good and bad news.
If good, it means their revenue is enough to satisfy the investors of NCSoft which allows them to take their time to strengthen the core of their game.
If bad, it means there is not enough revenue and they no longer want to invest into expanding the product beyond basic additions which we are seeing at the moment. Creating expansions costs a lot of money so the risk versus reward is bigger.
Which one it is is yet to be seen but I certainly hope they add new classes or races this year or people will get bored, content only lasts for so long in this competitive enviroment.
p.s. I’m well aware they are making plenty of revenue to make a profit, but whether the investors are satisified or not is something we will never know as customer.
Well they may not have any plans for an expansion, but their team surely is expanding right now. I guess that’s a good sign of the game’s financial health when you look at all the other studios laying off en masse (pun intended).

Hi,
I’m currently the leader of a small guild consisting of RL friends (most of them are inactive or super casual, like logging on twice a week) and until came the new Guild Missions I never saw any interest for jumping ship to another guild. Well as many others right now I’m looking for a medium or large guild to partake in those.
My main is a Mesmer named Tigre de Papier. I have a few alts but I mostly played my Mesmer since day 1 so I consider myself to be quite experienced in this profession.
I’m looking for a guild on the server Anvil Rock (not willing to switch server) which is mostly active during the week between 10pm to 3am EST (for this reason I believe a guild whose members are mostly on the west coast would be best).
While my main interest in joining a new guild is Guild Missions, I love pretty much every aspect of the game, will gladly participate in guild activities to my fullest and provide support to guildmates. Don’t take me wrong and believe I’m just one of those guild hopping leechers.
Thank you for considering my offer and I hope I will be a valuable asset to my new guild!
