Thanks everyone for your input, I am going to have to have a play with my controls and see if I can walk steer with my mouse and keep an eye on eBay for a keypad.

I was thinking with a naga and a keypad you can split the workload between the 2 hands. I feel at the min my left hand is working over kill and the you get lost on the keyboard when the **** hits the fan.

I was thinking the pad joystick would make steering or walking easier freeing the workload for the fingers.

I play a mez at the moment so always on the move but feel the WASD walking sometimes slow and counter productive.

What controls does everyone use?

So alicekaye do you use the joystick for full walking or just turning and something else for the movement?

I have just ordered a new razor mouse which will make life easier. Just looking at the keypad it looks like it would be really helpful with gw2 and wow

I am thinking about buying a keypad for gaming, something the the razor or the Logitech one, but before I buy I thought I would ask if anyone uses them and if they are good for the game.

I have a question how good is this build in dungeons and WvW? I am level 40 at the minute and have spent my points on 10-0-9-0-10.

I play both. My necro can stack akittenload of bleed fast and do good damage, but as a mesmer your always doing things and moving, in pvp mesmers and a pain to try kill as they are slippery to pin down.

Pick one and play it for 15-20 lvls and see which is best for you. Thats what I did, lvl22 necr and now lvl 35 mesmer and climbing.

I still am and really enjoying it and having loads of fun with my mesmer, my necro and ele are just craft banks now!!

Also I find I can take on mobs of a higher lvl with my mesmer without being worried , I may take time to kill but its hard to die if you use all the skills the mesmer has to offer.

Thanks for all your help and advice. The only thing left to do is find the lvl 30 dungeon! I found lvl 40 dungeon from completing human map sections last night.

Need to start the Char area to find it.

Being a Mesmer is great fun!!

I agree we do take time to get up to power, I have great confidence in my mesmer at taking on 3-5 group mob of a similar lvl to myself which I didnt have in my ele. But yes it does take time.

Doesnt look good for the dungeons though

So doesnt sound promising unless playing with friend or guild.

I really do enjoy the mesmer and have a lot of fun with it. I also enjoy the nacro but not as much. I tryed the ele up to lvl 15 but it wasnt for me!

I will have to have a couple of goes at the dongeons and see how we are treated.

I have a mesmer lvl 32 staff main, sword focus second.

I have read alot of mixed threads and responses about the mesmer. I really enjoy playing the mesmer though and I am looking forward to dungeons but how good is the mesmer in a dungeon role?

I even saw a thread saying mesmers have been booted out of a dungeon group before it starts do to not wanted.

If im going to be singled out should I lvl my necro that is at lvl 22?

I dont no why the mesmer gets such bad press.

Being only lvl 26 im new but so far I have unlocked all the weapons and tried them all. So far I keep going back to staff as main and sword pistol/focus. If im honest I probably dont change over to sword as much as I should. I am open to change if any ideas come up. Were should I be spending my points? So far I have 10 in the top and 5 in the bottom (cant remember the names.)

Im on Ring of Fire and lvl 26 if anyone would like to help me please.
