2k plus Tpvp matches played over 1500 wins
CHANGE your build 6/0/0/1/6 mug improv and panic strike…/ vigorous recov/ thrill of the crime …bountiful theft.. …sleight of hand/ rune of the orge.. fire and air sig.. shadowstep ..blinding powder… sigil of agil.. crucial for condi remov… and opener should be something like infil strike… steal… cloak and dagger…. while in stealth weapon swap bow … after you root..poison field and cluster bomb for area weakness… then repeat first rotation infil strike ….cloak and dagger… with baslisk this time and depending on there health or rotation of healing etc.. use your steal.. to interupt or run out of range and use it for gap closer… s/d is all about line of site.. always open behind and object and as soon as a condi lands try to remove asap with return on infil or sigil of agil… try to save dancing dagger for evades.. of attacks or if they have rings on the ground use dancing dagger for gap closer..hope this helps

REAL SOLUTIONS TO FIXING THIEVES
D/P to fix bp/hs spam… change it to remove 1 condition instead of stealth… make bp/shadowshot stealth backstab mechanic
S/D get rid of the delay on infiltrator strike… speed up animation on cloak and dagger.. speed up our number 1 auto attk… give us a buff that pierces through invuln on crit… we dont need much just a few tweaks to make us competitive again nothing more…
If your playing a ranger and dying to a d/p thief your having L2P issue… go to any king of the hill match and watch the duels.. before you come on here and cry …
Heres a simple fix for BP/HS spam.. give us condi removal instead of stealth and swap shadow shot out of bp to stealth/backstab mechanic… Simple solutions for s/d fixes…. get rid of the delay of infiltrator strike increase animation speed on cloak and dagger… make number 1 auto attk hit faster … maybe give us a buff that pierces through invuln on crit.. i mean anything to help the zerker meta… no pro thiefs want to play some cheesy condi build or kittened pp builds thats for nubs and scrubs… help the real thieves give us just enough to compete nothing more

I agree there is no 1 build that rules them all for any class the problem is the condition meta rules the power meta… there is not enough risk/reward balance between the 2… that does not mean the power builds in teams cant compete, but why choose a team composition (conditions) that allow you to make countless errors and still win vs a (power) team composition that almost has to be flawless to win.
you do not need the stun lock to capitalize on s/p damage, it makes you rely on more timing and positioning instead of button spamming, s/p is not a build for scrubs but if you know how to use it correctly the build/play style is solid and competitive in the current meta

Experiencing same issues since pathc… More so in the morning, In evening time, everything seems to be fine with no problems, checked everything on my end… internet connection, drivers all up to date etc…
Quick suggestion for the devs to help fix thieves, Can we get expeditious dodger and fleet shadow out of Acrobatics and into the Shadow Arts line.. Thieves are lacking effective builds against hybrid bunker/condition builds.. These two traits could at least give us a way to run a viable build that is not overpowering but competitive with other class builds.. I find the ability to keep almost a permanent swiftness during a fight is key for thief combat positioning since current changes we need more leverage to match our survivability/damage ratio compared to other classes
I play both classes as well nor do i play a full glass thief10/30/30 isnt glass… this comparison does not include scrubs… were comparing highly skilled competitive players who undestrstand mechanics of all classes….I know the counters for mesmers… trust me when I say mesmer is absolute cheese.. we all know which phantoms to dodge.. its the range of the phantoms are able to atk from. its not the sword phantoms its the pistol phantoms … I will post videos later to explain the cheese… My point is why are they able to do high dmg with minimal skill or risk.. Never said mesmers are op.. yes they can be beat at top lvl no doubt but the amount of survivability and time it takes to 1v1 a mesmer who does equivalent burst dmg and more sustained dmg as a thief…. should be looked at…
It takes absolutely no skills what so ever to play a shatter mesmer and yet there clones can match or do more burst then any thief build out. Hardly any risk for such high dps. Flame thieves all you want but the fact is 1 dodge, block, or evade can escape any burst combo a thief has to offer.. 45 sec cooldown is needed for another big opener…. Dodge, evade, 3 times on a mesmer combo and still get pwnd halfway across the map no where near him.. Anet listen up add more risk for high dps and quit giving scrubs cheese builds to equal skilled players who dont want to play a cheese class for scrub builds
