I don’t quite understand the issue here. You have a weapon swap, why can’t you just use a GS or something else for DPS, then swap to staff for some conditions/boons while everything is on cooldown?

Yes that is currently what I do, but the main issue I have is finding a way to use Chaotic Dampening trait for chaos storm and having the reflection traits from the focus while not loosing some of the main dps traits. I would rather use a Sword main hand over a GS. If I try that then I lose a lot of the good stuff that makes me do more dps.

I love PVE! I tend to not do anything else in this game since I got it. I love my Mesmer but after playing with the current meta I find it pretty boring, and I would love to change it every once in a while with another build that plays differently, more precisely a completely different weapon!

For the past 2 weeks I have been searching for a good staff berserker (power) build that worked. A build that would not hinder the group by making me useless. A build were I could do average dps while bringing the wonders of Aegis and Retaliation for all the kids.

I have been running a shatter build 20/20/0/0/30 and it feels like I am doing it wrong. I come to ask the smarter and more experienced Mesmers of this forum to help me find a build which is mediocre but viable. I know the staff is a hated weapon amount the PVE Mesmerites but just give it a try!?

The necro mask not working for mesmers? When I transmuted and put it on mesmer it only shows the green outline but not the glowing eyes. I tried previewing it but it doesnt work either.
When I previewed it with my thief it shows the glowing eyes and not the mesmer. Is this a knowing issue, if one at all?
