I have real problem facing Druids with all that Spike Shoot and Spike Barrage sh.. Can anyone give me some hints to counter them as a Meditrapper?

How did we get from DH worst elite to nerf DH

Concept, you simply have no clue about DH! 22.000 DMG by Maw and Procession…have you ever played this Spec? In best case in pvp it is round about 12.000 DMG. Besides that Maw is buggy then hell and you never know if it hits or not, and when the target is just a little bit intelligent, Maw and procession will not hit (fully) due to a dodge (or stab).

Why is everyone complaining about the “so strong” DH??? Playing DH against medium players is very tricky and not easy. To stomp a lot of noobs is of course very easy, but that is valid for every class.

Thank you Karl!!!! All the changes are very nice and help to balance DH/make it viable.

Hunters Verdict is just awesome and makes the 3 virtues now a really well-measured package. The removed Insta-Cast on them can now be fully compensated by the additional functionality. Great work!

Anyhow, three issues I would love to see until HoT release:

Wing of Resolve: please let it be an evade, it is nearly impossible to leap inside a mass fight without getting an interrupt (anyhow leaving the fight is nearly always possible). It should also be a Leap Finisher.

Procession of Blade: should be a Whirling Finisher.

LB#5: please reduce activation time. In PvP it will be impossible to use this skill successfully when the features of the DH are more popular within the player community. What do you think about cast time 1 sec, and cool-down 90 sec? Even if it will be not available to often, at least when we decide to use it has a much higher chance to work.

BWE 3 Guardian Feedback (Core/DH)

I played PvP for several hours now, and Dragonhunter has defintely evolved compared to BWE2.

But there are 3 major things I am really missing, if they will be part of the release everything would be fine for me:

- in Karl’s post for BWE3 the following was posted: “Zealot’s Aggression: This trait now allows Justice’s passive effect to cripple, in addition to dealing extra damage to crippled enemies.” If this would come true DH will be WOW!!!!
- Shield of courage can be traited as a stun breaker, so please let it break stuns before the casting time for the shield will start. That means instant stun breaking and afterwards 1/4 sec for the shield (as with Wings of resolve trigger remove Immobility before doing the jump)
- Wings of resolve range should be really 1200. 800 is better then 600, but 1200 will provide new use cases for the skill and Guardian strategy.

What is still in a bad shape are the traps. But honestly I do not know how to improve them. Rune of the Trapper in PvP could help, but I think this might lead to some imbalances. Also Spear of Justice feels really bad. I do not know what to do with this skill during combat. It is the only virtue that is always still passive when I use Renewed Focus I think it should do something like cripple or more dmg, it is a skill with a 20 sec reload.

Compared to the other elite specs in PvP it feels, hmm, ok. Anyhow, playing against even a mediocre Berserker or Chronomancer player is nearly impossible to win, or at least it takes a very long time. This feels very imbalanced at the moment.

Anyhow, if my 3 main issues will be considered for the release, I would be happy

I am so frustrated…bought HoT on Friday for the Beta-Weekend to see my favorite class shine….never thought I could be so wrong.

General: I absolutely do not understand, why I cannot use Bow or Traps without using Dragonhunter spec. I mean when I do not take Valour I can still use Meditations….

Virtues: only interesting thing is Wings of Resolve due to the damage and increased heal, but cast times on virtues is completely negating the benefits of virtues. Played new virtues for several hours, then switched to old mechanics and they are so much better. Why do I have to use new virtues? Should be a swapable trait, so that I can decide to use the old (yes!) or new functionality of virtues.

Bow: I looked so much forward using a Bow with my Guard! But when comparing it with Ranger Longbow I do not know what to say…did any of the Guardian developers play Guardian in PvP?

Traps: what have we Guardians done to deserve traps? I mean we have really pain in the a… skill lines like signets and spirit weapons, so what have we done that we deserve 5! new trap skills instead of at least one (please!) cool skill? I tested them carefully, but none of them is worth taking into the skillbar instead of the standard meditation/shout skills.

Traits: seems to be ok, what I really like is the Hunters Fortification Trait. This one could be really shining when virtues are instant or old virtues mechanics can be also used for dragonhunters.

Summary: for release I hope virtues and parts of the Longbow will be reworked, so that it is at least an exotic option for PvP. For traps all my hope is gone, again, why 5 of them???
