Friday vote, here
Good to see that positive changes are being made!
All of these look good to me, especially 3 and 4. Blobs will have a bit less power when they aren’t as able to roll over their dead and have the backline res. Also, allied PUG deaths wont be quite as damaging to those of us who run with organized guild groups, since they can only rally one enemy each
Keep it up! Now that death is being made meaningful in a decent way, perhaps we can see some Desert BL improvements/downsizing?

Another +1 for the thread. For all disconnect between actual WvW players and our devs, I can still have hope that this will be read! Sums up what WvW needs very nicely.
Though, while I agree that “the few” in outmanned situations (such as overnight defense versus a heavy nightcap server) could use better siege placements or more effective siege in general for outmanned situations, I don’t know that unreachable platforms or areas would be the best option. Still, not a bad suggestion.

Alright, HoT is out, we’re still in SBI, and we’ve sorted out our new roster.
We’re in need of at least two steady Guards, preferably with DH unlocked, and a few more Revenant/Herald mains!
If you’re another NA GvG guild reading this, consider getting in contact with us for scrims! Our Arena is T2 and has its ring-out barrier, and we’re eager to test out some new arena metas!

Would you entertain the thought of switching to 3, 4, 6 or 8 hour WvW matches similar to time slices and patch the xpac at the end of these matches? You can use the data from these matches to see whether time slice matches are accepted by the community.
Part of the appeal of WvW is the length of the matches, I feel. If you take away the permanence that includes, it starts becoming EotM with its 4 hour matches. You’ll find few in the WvW community who are in favor of another EotM.
I was concerned to see WvW reset moved to Saturday. The Friday night tradition being moved after 3 years? Was going to be an odd feeling to wait another day, and to have Friday as the new “dead day” for WvW (Friday is the best day for reset high activity imo). I feel that Thursday reset would have actually been a better move, if any.
Completely disappointed to see it erased from my schedule altogether because of this recent time change. This means no more “reset night” preparation and anticipation for much of NA. No more race to get in the gate.
Please reconsider the time change! Keep it as it was!

CoSA Blue is now located on Stormbluff Isle!
We’re back into the T3, where competition and population once again make for great fights. Looking for Guards, and an Ele or two! Considering other classes as well, still.
Here’s a tribute video made by Timmeh! Includes a showcase of all our current regular members, some warrior gameplay, and other fun times. Enjoy!
CoSA is still looking for a regular guardian or two, and a vocal ele!

+1’ing the issue of the base game rope-in instead of something actually meaningful for GW2’s existing playerbase, like a simple character slot. It may end up making the expansion $60 for those who don’t have a free slot already prepared.
While I’ll probably buy the expansion either way to keep up with friends and get my hands on the Revenant class and elite specs, it will be grudgingly after seeing what exactly we get from those hefty price packages.
Also, RIP new players who bought the game during the HoT hype xD
This active, gem store-spending vet of 3 years is a bit disappoint. Hopefully content will be revealed over the following weeks/months that will make it more worthwhile.

CoSA is now located on HoD! Still looking for a few regular players, particularly those who main frontline classes!
Looking for a few more regular guardians and necros that can make weekday raids! Also, an experienced warrior or two.
I’ve been having similar lag troubles since I logged in today. All skills have a ~0.5 second delay in both the PvP lobby and matches (makes it pretty unplayable), as does chat. Jumping, dodging, and other actions work fine for the moment. Jumped over to LA to check there, and it’s the same delay.
I rarely have skill lag like this in GW2, except for extremely large fights in WvW.
Several guildies of mine have been reporting even worse skill lag since I’ve taken notice, and other games have been working perfectly all day.
Please fix this soon!

Still have a few spots open! Still looking for a regular ele, one or two reliable guardians, and some necros! Might also be considering a mesmer for gank.
Revenants…soon o-o
Currently looking for a reliable ele, a warrior or two, and a some power necros to get us to a regular 25+ on the field! Also willing to consider one or two thieves/mesmer for gank positions. Show us what you can do!
Thumbs up from a CoSA Blue officer with 3 accounts.
I see my home, Sorrow’s Furnace, with a “Very High” server population status, as the players there struggle to put together 20man zergs for EB. The transfer cost for a “Very High” population server is too high to re-establish SF’s WvW in any meaningful way.
I see 30-60man deep queues across 2-3 BLs on Fort Aspenwood, a T2 server, as their server population remains a similar “Very High”. Meanwhile, Dragonbrand queues a single BL 30 deep in primetime at “Full”.
For both ends of the server rankings, there is a problem with how the game is currently counting server population, at least for those of us who enjoy WvW. I would love to hear how population is determined, and whether there are plans for a more WvWer-friendly method!
The latest batch of videos from December. Enjoy!

:o has it really been that long? I remember fighting sapphire/scarlet blobs back on SoR
I see a lot of shamrock here on BG, I have to assume they are part of your community
Yeah, there are currently three CoSA’s. Blue’s the hardcore WvW, with green and red being PvX/PvE multiserver guilds. Red’s got a base on SF, and I believe green was mostly grown on BG, so that makes sense :P
Oh you guys are on DB now, hey good luck to you guys, why did you leave SF?
Thanks! We’ve actually been on DB for half a year now. Doing well, but could use a few more skilled bodies to help keep us at a steady 20-25 raid comp.
We moved to DB to face more skilled opponents mainly, so that we could grow our core, but not having to worry over PPT is another plus of it. We can do a little to contribute when we want, and since DB is already well established in T3 and soon T2, we have that freedom. We can put all our effort into the fights we love
CoSA Blue is a WvW raiding guild from Sorrow’s Furnace, now established on Stormbluff Isle. We love getting into good fights, improving, regardless of wipe or win, collecting bags, having weird conversations, and having fun as a guild. Our core group is an odd bunch with diverse personalities and backgrounds, so we get a bit wild and inappropriate at times – crude language, jokes, teasing – be warned! We are seeking like-minded individuals with a drive to fight hard, learn, and improve in both solo and group settings. No slackers, no scrubs.

Just one OCX guild could help our server do wonders! SEA/earlyEU as well! Come! You would not just be another face, here!
Also, recruiting people for our upcoming Karaoke event to break in the new TS3 :P
CoSA’s a truly amazing bunch. I’ve been a tag-along of sorts for almost two years now, and in all my goings in GW2, I’ve never found a group of people I’d rather spend time gaming with. A pillar of the SF community, a strong experienced core, great friends, great fun, and you wont find another guild in Bronze or Silver that can dominate the field so surely.
Just ask our opponents, and check out some videos!
Sorrow’s Furnace SEA/OCX pugmander here, and looking for guilds and individuals to help fight in our server’s morning hours! Plenty of door to PvD, T3 to break, and small-man groups to fight! Maybe even pug zergs to smash, depending on the matchup!
Be sure to bring a sense of humor! We’re a goofy, stable, active, and determined family that loves new faces. Forum warriors, inspirational speeches, and momma Katie’s food included!
I would LOVE (and other as well) to know how this SF guy got to the top of this tower, with all those supplies and build a treb, a cata and a superior arrow cart….
Many of our guys tried to find a way up but were unable…even if they could get up there, how would he be able build all this solo?
Location: Ruins outside Blue Keep in EB
Phig…somehow I just knew. xD
yay for burning houses
Poor Tyler, but it had to be done. That NSP commander must have wiki’ed the function of Houses tonight.
Pretty sure GoM has an SF spy.
1. We had mesmer hiding in Ogrewatch for 10 minutes, when he announced it in map chat, he got zerged at his exact location he gave us.
2. Before SF assaulted our keep in EB, our keep was drained on a bunch of arrow carts underneath supply huts.
3. Where ever we move, SF are there hiding in a corner waiting for ambush. ( I was convinced you had an awsome scout but point 1 and 2 disproves that.)
Also to the picture – Really?
Zerged because he was simply hiding in a tower that wasn’t his. And yes, I was there when it was called in map, and was one of the ones that fell half a dozen times trying to jump over to get a hit on him.
Oh, and please. You act as if this is your first time in the presence of SF. Choco bananas and print spam is kinda what we do once we get bored of repeatedly filling our inventories. :P
O Good God! wall of superior ballistas saves the day!
Targeting me of all golems!? So rude.
[XE] was pretty bored after Fight Night ended. Some fun in ET BL with an Omega was just what we needed to complete our night though.

Props to the lone SF charr holding fog camp in GoM bl for half an hour. I was the asuran mes who tried (and failed) to take your camp with the big shiny guardian.
Gratz on preventing SF from getting a +0 tick.
You monster.
Thanks man. It was a nice little excursion, while it lasted. It was about all I could do to help in the early morning. We were so dead last night. :/
If I would have made it to my last Superior Bal in the back, I JUST may have won that rush! Maybe….
An amazing matchup so far, and it’s only Sunday! I’m definitely loving the open-field combat from both DR and GoM. It’s so nice to be rid of DH and their AC sanctuaries, and the experience from going up against other organized groups like DDLG & RegA’s on reset night has been so helpful.
SF has made some big improvements in coordination over the past week or two, and just in time it seems. If we’d come into this matchup as we were a month ago, I don’t think we’d be much competition. I’m sure we’ll learn even more from this matchup.
GL everyone! Looking forward to some more great fights this week!
Welp, here’s my screenshot of the night.
Also, I saw my guildie’s tag in there and realized that I have a screenshot, well, video frame of the same exact moment!
I was one of those guards :P
But really Team, you should see his dancing as more of a compliment. Out of you’re entire group, you were the only one that took a great deal of effort to catch and kill, so it was worth celebrating.
I’d like to thank your mesmer Comamnder for teaching me that little ram duel btw. That will be a neat passtime for sitting around your spawns ^^
Sorrow’s Furnace likes dance parties in the Fergusson’s Crossing spawn!
Why can’t we be friends?
It was a lovely party. Look, I got some of all of us!
Ah, I’m one of few female gamers in my guild, and I believe the only one that actually enjoys WvW. It’s my favorite aspect of the game after dungeons. I have 9 characters, but I only use a few for WvW:
Guardian – Charr (F) – lvl 80 – My tanky S/Sh & Hammer healer. I use her for roaming and small group/guild zerging. She can take a beating, and give an even greater one :P
Elementalist – Asura (F) – lvl 80 – My D/D glass cannon. I use her for soloing when no one else is in WvW. Camp capping, movement, and 1v1ing random invaders.
Thief – Norn (M) – lvl 80 – My condition D/D & Shortbow ganker. Small group/guild camp capping and ambushing. Used mostly for messing with enemy zergs now.
Warrior – Asura (M) – lvl 80 – My GS & Longbow shout healer. I use this guy for just about everything, but is best at assaulting objectives with guildies and zergs. Not too great alone.
Necro – Human (F) – lvl 40 – My AoE S/D & Staff condition spreader. I use her for zerging and tower guarding. It’s so fun to stack conditions onto one in an enemy zerg and spreading them all with Epidemic. They drop so fast
