Did the patch break jumping?

You can see what the effect is by going to lions arch and going to the ramp directly to the left, walking out of the bank. Run at the ramp and jump right as you hit the lip of that ramp going down.

What happens is you are in a “falling” state for a split second so it prevent you from jumping and instead pulls you down.

This is adverse to what the jumping physics previously were because you were able to begin a slight fall for a split second and still input a jump command to gain some extra distance into your jump.

So they either “fixed” the physics or “broke” some jumping puzzles that used to require you to jump certain distances that were REALLY picky on how close to the edge you were when you jumped.

Now add latency into the mix and you can see how being too precise on when the player inputs a jump command can cause issues.

This seems to hit the nail on the head. If the game considers you “falling” it no longer lets you jump, even if you’re not actually falling yet. Which makes many jumps buggy and others nigh on impossible to complete considering with no runspeed buff you literally must walk off the edge before jumping to just barely clear the distance.

Fixitfixitifixitfixt please.

Legendary stats after Ascended when xmuted?

It will not matter if it was a transmuted item. Legendary is Legendary. Transmuted or not it is still a Legendary Item.

Has this ever been verified? To my understanding the transmuted item is the rarity of the item that gives the stats, and the rarity of the skin is simply discarded from the equation. This is what I have experienced when transmuting an item “up” in quality, and this is what I have heard from what happens when people transmute an item “down” in quality (such as Legendary skin + Exotic stats = Exotic item).

Besides, if it kept the rarity of the skin that wouldn’t really make much sense, because then you could have rares with two (lower) stats, or exotics with stats comparable to greens (but still considered exotics). It wouldn’t make sense.

Unless you are simply using semantics where they don’t apply that is.

From what i’ve seen you’re correct. If you xmute your legendary with an exotic and take the stats from the exotic, your Legendary stops being legendary and turns into an exotic. Which means no stat boost when legendaries get bumped unless they do some seriously obnoxious update scripts on the item databases as opposed to changing a single value in a single cell.

It is a bit late, as the bug supposedly is already found, but I just found out today that I am also affected by this bug, and have been since I started the game 1 week after release. I have NEVER had any regular material node let me gather a second time from it, and I am not getting the HP increase either.

Currently I should be getting a 3% bonus on my HP – but I do not.
The base HP for rangers at level 80 is 15.082. I get an additional 500 HP from my 5 trait points in nature magic, bringing me to a total HP of 15.582. The world bonus is not applied (and this was in a capital city of my own server, not on an overflow server)

I’m in the same boat. I rolled on Darkhaven maybe a week after launch and never got the bonuses regardless of what zone I was in. I later transferred to Crystal Desert and still get no bonuses (and yes, it’s been long since the intended period of not getting bonuses, it’s been over a month). No health, no double crafting, nothing.

It seems to be account-wide as well, none of my characters get anything at all.

Legendary stats after Ascended when xmuted?

If it’s all about the look, then you shouldn’t care about ascended stats…….you (hypothetical you) obviously didn’t care about the Legendary stats when you transmuted them off the item so I don’t see why it should suddenly seem like it matters to you, right?

But that’s exactly the point. There ARE no legendary stats. As of right now, legendaries give the exact same stats as exotic weapons. It is strictly a skin.

I don’t care about “legendary stats” because legendary stats arent a thing. I do care about spending well over two months grinding my kitten off to get that really cool skin, and then getting screwed out of the “free upgrades for life” model for actually using that skin as the developers intended.

IMO the whole transmute system is really awkward to begin with. You’re not just putting a texture on another item, you’re literally changing the whole item, name, color, enhancement, ect. Every other game with this feature simply changes the texture of the item and puts a little “xmuted with XYZ” blurb in the tooltip to identify it as not the original texture. This method guarantees that any changes to the base item in the database will carry over to transmuted versions of the item out in the wild as well. With this system, my Meterologicus is no longer a Meteorologicus, but a “Berserker’s Pearl Sceptre of Bloodlust” with the Meterologicus model applied to it. It’s just a convoluted way of doing it, and it leads to situations exactly like this thread.

That’d be a pretty big issue though, seeing as how Legendaries are really all about the look since they have the exact same stats as the exotic versions. They’d be punishing everyone who essentially used their Legendary “as intended” before they were aware of the announcement. The people who left it be get free upgrades for life (they did say legendaries would always match the best level of weapons available), and the people who changed the stats with another exotic to best suit their character get hosed.

Hopefully we get an official response one way or the other before the swap.

Legendary stats after Ascended when xmuted?

I know Anet officially announced that Legendaries would automatically become Ascended stats when that tier of weaponry is released, but is there any word on whether that still happens if you transmuted your legendary?

For example, the stats on Meteorologicus are Power/Vit/Toughness. I dont want those, I want Power/Precision/Crit damage like a berserkers weapon. If I transmute it with a Berserkers weapon, it stays Legendary, but is technically no longer the original item. Would it then still keep its previous stats in the future, forcing me to create another legendary?

It’d be nice to have some clarification, I dont want to go through all of this only to shoot myself in the foot because of the stats.

Thats a third vote for Dragon’s Tooth not triggering a blast finisher.

Phoenix is also not giving me a blast finisher either.
