Living Story - Poorly done.

Recently I hit level 80, and after finishing my Personal Story, I was excited to find out how Lion’s Arch came to be destroyed and the events that followed.

LOL, NOPE.

I have access to Story #9 for free. The other 8? yeah, those cost 200 gems each. (or $2.50)
That’s an extra $20 or so dollars I will not be paying.

Why ArenaNet decided to do it this way is absolutely beyond me. If I wasn’t playing during the time of the story, I’m S.O.L, but since I’m playing now, I get the 9th chapter? Literally makes 0 sense.

I’m pretty mad. Guild Wars lore is amazing, and I am a huge fan of GW1 as well. My excitement in following the lore has just been put on an extremely abrupt hold. Poor decision, A-net.

Now, I am a huge MMO fan. I’ve played about 16 of them for at least a month or more time, so I know what to look for in a good MMO. I played Guildwars 1 for 7 years and it was by far one of my favorite games, and I have to say, GW2 lacks a lot that even GW1 had! What’s going on, Anet!?

PvP Finishers:
These are just downright awful… I’m sorry.. When I want to exterminate my enemy in a vicious encounter on the on-going wars of WvW, I want to SLAUGHTER THEM. Not hover (literally) above them and shove a flag up their butt. At least make it class/weapon specific? If I’m wielding a Fel Blade, why can’t I impale them with that? It would be a nice and simple change.

Inspecting Players:
When I see a 7 ft. tall Charr wearing armor that leaks lava, I’d love to know what it’s called and what his stats are. I’d love to INSPECT him! It’s a simple feature that almost every MMO has. I’d love to see it in GW2.

Trading:
Trading from player to player. Do I honestly have to say anything else…? Like… Why is this not in the game…?

Dueling:
Really!? GW1 was like THE PvP MMO! And we can’t even DUEL in GW2!?

Dungeons:
The bosses don’t have any nifty quotes, almost everything is a tank-spank or “Run in circles so the boss doesn’t hit you” fight. There are no mechanics to dungeons. Ascalon Crypts was pretty fun, but once I got to Caudecus’s Manor, I quit half way through because I was so disappointed.

GW1 PvP:
Random Arenas and Guild Wars were not put in the second game? It’s called GUILD WARS and you guys didn’t even put in GUILD WARS!? Random Arenas were also some of the most enjoyable times I had in GW1. I see no reason to exclude them from GW2.

Dungeon Finder:
Even though I’ve given up on dungeons, it’s still impossible to find a group for one. No one wants to sit in a 1-15 zone and scream in map chat until some random level 40 also is doing the same thing.
