Guild Wars 2

So I just have to ask….have you played other games? They gate things all the time behind gaming experience or buying expansions or DLC. Take the Battlrfield series, if you want a certain gun you grind your way through it. want to unlock JDAM bombs? Hope you are ready to get shot out of the air a lot.

Games are subjective to the individual playing; for every person liking or disliking an aspect of said game an equal or greater number think the opposite. You are wanting more than vague responses and stating that MOST people, which your personal sample size is less than ten (going by what you said) which is not nearly enough to speak as to most of the player base. Yes there is large forum post with thousands of replies but that thread has been around for 7 months so a decent amount of the replies happened before the release of HOT.

In my guild, that is at member cap and has been for over a year, the consensus is overwhelmingly positive. Yes a few have complained about gating but we have had two nights already where as a guild we have basically queued a map and ran everyone through events, HP and masteries.

Apparently the expansion is not right for you and you have the right to your a opinion, but don’t ask people to justify theirs if they are enjoying it. I for one enjoy the hard content and having to come back later.

Thanks. If it takes off I will need help. I hope I can get some BG peeps on board, nice to put voice to toons that steamroll my poor old thief in WvW.

I have a good reason for the Guild Wars community to come together, Extra Life. For those of you who do not know what this is it is a charity that supports Children’s Miracle Network.

Think of how many hours a week you play GW2 for your enjoyment, now imagine putting all that fun into a 24 hour marathon that raises money for a good cause. I have participated in this for 3 years on other games but the communities where never as large as this one. I believe we could make a LARGE difference in the lives of many children in need of help.

I am posting to get a feel for the interest from the community. I will be posting this on my home server forum (Fort Aspenwwod) as well the GW2 subreddit and would like to ask if you can post on your own forums. With the amount of players this game has I believe we could raise a great deal of money. Who knows, with enough interest maybe we can even get Anet to match what we raise.

I understand about bugs, and I do hope they fix it soon. I work 14 hour shifts the next two days and I dont know if I will be able to log in just to get the last acheivment. This is the first reward that I have really wanted. Not to mention the hours I spent getting the two for Dragonball, dealing with AFK’ers and uneven teams only to not have them count.
