Before I could even log in myself there was so much negativity arround the soulbeast. I was almost to scared to play because I got my self so hyped up for the spec. But man I love this spec. Being able to switch in and out beastmode to combo with your pet is amazing.

Dagger/Axe + Greatsword feels good and as pets I’m using the pig and smokescale.

new utility skills + elite skill are boring and feel like extra signets…

Man… the combo’s u can make with you’re pets and beastmode are amazing and fun. And try a different off-hand next to the dagger like an axe.

I must agree the new Utility skills are boring and lazy.

Will I be able to redo my story? cause I’m at chapter 8 now and between chapter 6 and 8 it was a bloody mess… ruined my whole Guild wars experience.

Should’ve been fixed within a week but I see it’s already taking more then a year! I just noticed it recently and it ruined my character build-up experience…

Feels like I wasted a kittenton of time going trough the story noticing it wasnt complete.. thanks…

how can this be not fixed yet?? what is more important for a game then telling the story It should tell!!!!

Thanks for the information both. Unbelieveble they did this with the story man… what where they thinking? why would u screw up the game’s lore and story so much? currently I’m leveling with my buddy who’s going trough the story for the first time now. where @ lvl 40 story so I hope they fixed it before we hit lvl 70 :S

DO NOT READ IF U HAVE NOT PLAYED THE PERSONAL STORY BEHOND LVL 60!!!!

After almost 3 years after I completed the personal story for the first time I tought It would be nice to lvl up a new character and play trough the story again since I loved it so much. But the story feels really strange now. is it me or is it totally screwed up. I remember doing missions the first time I did the story that I havn’t done or able to do now(also including different story paths).

Like before u battle for Fort Trinity u are supposed to help Tonn to get the Krait orb with magical power to protect Fort Trinity. Instead U get trown straight in to the defense of Fort Trinity (wich is also buggy as hell) and we already have the orb…

At lvl 70 u get to complete Trahearns Wyld hunt deep inside Orr (all the missions play out on the Cursed Shore map) and u meet some characters like that underwater butterfly wich seems to already know u. U also get to hear that u have freed all the previous kings of orr from zhaitan, wich did not happen at all yet.

Then at lvl 80 U get to hear that Tonns wife is still in sorrow (if I did not play the story before I would have know Idea who Tonn would be… And suddenly that underwater butterfly gets introduced to u.

I did not play farther now.. I’m on the lvl 80 missions after cleansing orr now I need to go to the Temple of the forgotten god. If I remember correctly this happends before u cleanse Orr.

Might be me but is the personal story Totally fkt up???

So Lion’s arch gets destroyed and everything will move to another area. I’m 90% sure that will be Fort Trinity.

Fort Trinity is a neutral area for all races of tyria. every player will be involved with Fort trinity and the pact in there personal story and it is one of the phew area’s with enough space for all the crafting stations, portals and bank etc. Fort Trinity is also able to defend itself against aerial threats and counter them with there own aerial fleet. The only place that makes sense we run off to is Fort Trinity.

My bank is stuffed with Ascended mats like dragonite ore, Emperyal fragments and Bloodstone dust… I’m not interested in crafting at all and still I’m getting kittenloads of this stuff that fills up my bagspace… anything to do with it besides needing to spend loads of money on crafting?

So I joined a awesome guild. They do quite allot of WvW and they accepted me as a ranger in wvw. But now I want to optimize my spec for small group fights. We mostly run from 5 – 12 man groups in wvw. I rlly want to help the team as much as I can as a ranger.

Currently I run zerker gear with 30/30/0/10/0 spec. I’m looking for a entangle ranger spec. anny idea’s?

So at 3 AM GMT+1 the max amount of people we could gather on Gandara was ~ 25 totall. so we decided to go all to lane1 and go for the 1/5. Never seen people been so happy on a 1/5 fail

Same thing happend to me. I was commanding lane 2, explained 30 minutes before start of the event warden 2 to all newcomers to the event. My reward was that my messages where suppressed for 25 minutes after.

then when I could finally speak again and my lane needed to finish the marionette off (warden 5) I quickly explained the tactics of warden 5 to my lane. and just before entering the portal I got send back to my character screen. within 8 seconds I was back online in the world of Tyria.. but of course in overflow without the reward we worked so hard far to accomplish.

things that went wrong:
- Commander’s messages getting suppressed while he explains the tactics.
- Random DC that never happend before.

pretty frustrated about both things.

First of all, congrats on lv 80!

Now the question is what do you want to do as a ranger? What kind of play style do you want? Are you wanting to be supporty? Condi damage? A bunker? I can help ya out but I gotta know what you’re aiming for first!!

PS: if you’re like me and you don’t care about the “optimal” PvE builds then you can totally get away with anything, otherwise look for zerker.

I like playing WvW both zerg and scouting. I also like to do dungeons (fractals and arah) and would love to bring that tequatl guy down at least 1 time.

I don’t mind anny playstyle with ranger. I’m very fond of mellee and range but I don’t want to rely on my pet tomuch.

If you want to roam in wvw, you could go a variety of routes in terms of gear based on your playstile. For PVE all berserker.

If you don’t mind lacking high burst, you could go with pvt armor with knight trinkets. If you get to 30% crit chance that is totally fine. You could get settlers armor and make a beastmaster, which is high survivability but slow kills if your foe knows how to deal with the pet. You can get rabid gear for Karma in Orr, with full rabid trapper raanger is pretty fun, great for clearing camps, yakslappin’, but its not the best in survivability. There was a rampager build for zergsurfing with longbow as well. You could also try full berserker longbow greatsword, but you gotta love a bit of punishment every now and then if you go that route.

If you give more specific preferences, you will get more specific builds I’m sure. Have fun on ranger!

So, I tried to join the events a couple of times but every time I join the map one of the 2 things happen.

1, I join my homeworld, but during the event I get dc’d and placed in the overflow where the event is not taking place.

2, I end up straight in the overflow where no event is taking place.

So why is Anet trying to keep me out of LS?

My opinion is that this is by far the worst designed LS so far if they can’t anticipate the amount of partecipations…

We just couldnt take the lagg annymore and just quitted for todays fun.

I don’t know if this was intended for the guest mechanic, but this afternoon we had arround 4 different servers with a total of 50 man strong atleast on our Cursed Shore server map. Caused the server to lagg like donkey #@!$. ruined everyones pleasure to do some events and kill some champions cause it took atleast 3 seconds to cast a skill. Worst thing even was they spammed our chat with german.

Is there anny solution to this problem, because I cant enjoy the game at this moment.

I think it will be the Jungle Dragon, as for all I know it’s still sleeping, we will probably witness it’s awakening and be a part of the next big threat to Tyria.

If not I probably see Kralky going next. We got the tool to defeat him and with that we can re-establish a alliance with Palawa Joko (since we destroyed 1 of his enemy’s). If he still rules Elona ( would be awesome)

What is it with GW2 books and the need to have an asura die heroicly at the end of each of them?

I was thinking exactly the same when I finished reading Sea of Sorrows this week.

On topic, I would say Sea of Sorrows has made the biggest impact on me. the other 2 books took me a while to finish. I couldn’t stop reading Sea of Sorrows.

Naval Battles:

My Idea is to use the sea of sorrows as a open – server – pvp map, where guilds compete with eachother!
- Guilds can invest there resources + additional lumber etc in building a ship – later upgrading it – and take it out on sea!
- The Captain assembles the crew ( guild) And sets sail under the guilds flag! ready to plunder other ships and control points out on sea!
- Crew members can pilote the ship – navigating it trough rough sea’s and shallow waters! – others stand ready to man the guns and cannons for a fierce fight with other guilds and NPC pirates! – Enter enemy ships – Fill up leaking holes – shrub the deck stay on look out and sings songs when navigating trough the sea of sorrows! ( good use for the recently released music instruments!)
- Rediscover lost islands in the sea of sorrows now that the Risen are decreasing in numbers! Find hidden treasures to expand your guilds treasure and unique rewards while conquering the sea!

Wich guild will rule the Sea of Sorrows and earn everybody’s respect to earn a seat on the Council?! probably won’t happen but cool!!! better then voting

I’ve had so many idea’s for this concept. Only that I forget things fast and end up with a half-baked story like this Hope u enjoyed and support cause hell I like it!

I recently got my hands on a copy of Guild Wars Trilogy!

I think it was better if Anet didnt release the content that caused zhaitans dead right in the first month of release, they should’ve released a big patch ~ januari-februari with the dead of Zhaitan. Instead of LS cause i’m not a huge fan of that. they could’ve filled up the first content with 1 of zhaitans greatest Generals ala " Morgus Lethe" instead of Killing the bad guy right off the bet!

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this.

So, I really really enjoy the lore behind guild wars, I always check upon the forums to read the speculation what is going on. I’ve also read 2 of the 3 books that have been released ( orderd Sea of sorrows wich will take 7 days to get here) But what I not know is the history of guild wars, now I would like to play the GW1 series to get into the history of GW2 but I have a phew questions.

- Lorewise is it worth to play the presequal?
- Can u single player all the lore content in GW1?
- How much time would it take to play trough all the GW1 series?
- Are u still able to get the achievments to get the exclusive tittles + weapons in GW2?
- People still playing that game?

Found the problem, atleast for my charr. when u switch boots u can see that the shield is placed differntly, using C3 boots now wich still clips the shield but not that much that it’s hanging on my torso

My aegis and shield are bugged on my Charr guardian, it looks stupid and anoys me, have this problem for several days now and I need it fixed cause I am going for my Flameseeker Prophecy..

ok so since a phew days my shield is stuck in my arm…

lol @ MS camping WvW EB Puzzle with 20 people whole night lol… Guess that’s the only place for them to farm badges- from bots that keep jumping of the spawn platform xD

So I ran into a thief a couple of times, and with my ( not so good geared guardian of lvl 80 with 15k hp) I constantly got kitten d by a thief. So I Switched to my warrior since he had a toughness + Vitality build and went back to the puzzle to look for the thief, didnt took long before I found him kitten another warrior.

stats of my warrior:

2765 Armor
28.3k HP

I found myself getting 3 hitted by the thief.

In the end the warrior from the other BL teamed up with me to kill him, but he constantly ran away to regain health and from the shadows dealing like 15k damage or so?

Really need a hotfix for thiefs damage. it’s ridiculous and no fun at all…
