My friend have a i5-4670k, 8 GB DDR3 RAM and GTX 960, his FPS performance is way better than my Laptop with same graphic setting, and also standing in Guild Wars 2 at the same map location. My Laptop have auto turbo boost which boost to 3.4 GHZ +
He hit 90 FPS, which i only hit 55 FPS
Is that the laptop processor have so huge different low performance than Desktop Processor?
my Desktop hit around Min:90 – Max:120 FPS
Where in the game?
That’s really nice numbers, that puts your computer above I would guess 95% of other GW2 players. I’ve seen systems greater that yours that won’t reach those numbers, especially the Min FPS you claim.
Around Queensdale Crafting place.
My desktop at this same point my desktop hit 90 + FPS, but my laptop hit 50 FPS
Thanks all for the answer
So Guild Wars 2 is base on more CPU dependency… make sense now.
Thanks again !
Disable nvidia shadowplay. Lots of us had the same problem with nvidia-carded laptops.
It might also be called ‘instant replay.’ You can find the settings for it in the GeForce Experience control panel.
also the i7-7700 is a desktop chip. are you sure that’s what your laptop has? some of the mobile i7s are only dual cores, not quads, and that would severely affect your performance.
Thanks for the reply,i will check on the shadow play.
mine is i7-7700HQ, the problem is for other game the performance is ok, only for Guild Wars 2 is different.
I just bought a laptop yesterday, the spec is i7-7700 , 8GB ram, SSD and GTX 1060, it’s quite a mid range above laptop.
I have a desktop too with i7-6700k, GTX 970, 16GB RAM and SSD, i have test both device performance, and both hit exactly same performance (almost same FPS for Overwatch, around same score for Heaven bench-marking)
But the weird thing is the FPS is HUGE different in Guild War 2, with Same Graphic Setting, my character walking around same place, my Desktop hit around Min:90 – Max:120 FPS, but my laptop hit around Min:35 – Max:60 FPS only. Is that normal?
I have tried all the solution in internet but still no luck, any other suggestion?
The only different between my laptop and desktop is , laptop is Window 10 Home, Desktop is Window 10 Pro.
Thanks for the help.

Hi all,
Me and my friend would like to seeking for a Good, healthy and friendly WvW server.
We active on SEA timezone, GMT +8 =) , Any good suggestion for us?
Cheers.
Having the similar problem as IxISUICIDEIxI.7196, the Combat effect Audio is extremely low but the character and monster voice effect is high, it’s make the game quite weird.
good fight with CD in CD BL yesterday night GMT +8 . The battle is really Heat between sunny hill and garrison. =)
We choose Kaineng as our server before end of free transfer.
Kaineng is the server that starting to grow when other server guild decide to jump into it and help to build up the WvW community. So it attract another server WvW guild that hope to transfer off and find new grow WvW server other than tier 1 tier 2 server. So Kaineng succeed to attract more WvW guild to join them and start the new version of Kaineng. This the reason we choose Kaineng.
But what we hope is that, not only build up a healthy WvW Community here, also a good image to another server or opponent.
Don’t get arrogant when winning.
Don’t giving up when losing.
Respect to opponent, respect to own team.
To Kaineng player
Honestly, Kaineng still not enough strength compare to T1 and T2 server, but you all have the guild that experience in T1 and T2 before ( SBI and IOJ), currently T1 and T2 have well organize player, good coverage and tactic, hope kaineng player can communicate well and learn some tactic from another guild that have more experience in WvW. Now we win just because we have more manpower than CD and YAK, the test will be on next week. Hope we can get in T3, not T2, because i’m sure Kaineng still not ready yet for T2.
I hope CD and Yak can understand us, we know this fight is imbalance, we also hope can get out this fight to another Tier that we can compete with, hope that less QQ in this week WvWvW and ignore those troll people.
On Guild war 2 wiki, it only list about the “mark of blood” bug
but the Chilblains mark also will bugged if using the Greater Mark.
The radius and the trigger radius are correct, but if mob trigger in the Greater Radius, it wont have any dmg and effect on mob.
