for context, I’ve been in the process of crafting the druid backpiece, and to have to wait each kitten day to kill another boss/complete hearts in order to acquire runestone fragments is very monotonous when forced to complete this task EVERYDAY in hopes of reaching the end goal. besides economy, timegating forces the zone to become active and filled with many players killing champs and collecting loot. so, if I could buy all runestones in a single day, i would have already acquired the ascended backpiece in ONE DAY and left the zone forever weeks ago. so, in this scenario, anet loves timegating.

i would gladly pay a subscription each month to remove time gating. I don’t see this as P2W. 20-30 dollars per month is a reasonable monthly fee to remove time gating and it’s 100% optional.

am i the only crazy person here who would spend this amount of money to remove a timegated mechanic?

likely, most people would use it for specific goals and cancel their membership before renewal, or maybe there will be a 24 hour option.

time gating is getting old. offer an item in the gemstore called the asuran time neutralizer or some kitten like that for around $20.00.

people who don’t have time for this kitten, are happy it’s done, and people who want to take weeks and months, so be it.

This is why we can’t have nice stuff. Players complaining about overlapping mechanics being unfair is laughable. Anet designed some fun boss fights, and the only thing some of you can do is complain and tear it down. It’s disgraceful. Report real problems. If you don’t like it, participate in a T1 fractal 100. Stop kittening because you can’t complete a T4 for all the loot. Typical MMO community: wants kitten for no effort.

noticed something weird tonight. very annoying. something that i have never observed before.

for context, i’ve beaten 100cm about 20 times by now and have leave no hero behind.

i could no longer jump over the basic pizza slice attack (the one that rotates slowly. i’ve been jumping over that attack for like 15 hours now and i never get hit. why all the sudden? numerous pulls results in the same issue. i almost lost my kitten and raged the group. did i get lucky for 15 hours? am i doing something wrong? anyone else have a similar experience?

Will the new Black Lion level boost be a permanent gem store item? (2000 gems)

I don’t care much to level up myself and was looking for another quick way out in the future.

Gulling.. don’t let this break you. Do other stuff and play other thing in the game .. or maybe come back again later when most ppl master it better.. we used to do 100cm for holo dancer and the core where I can sell for gold. But later stop doing it.. don’t hv the patience for it. And the effort.

Ty for cheering me up! I will not be broken that easily, I come from a land where we have -40 Celsius in the winter. Though I love fractals so much and I don´t know what else I should do in the game. Kind of like loosing a very dear friend.

While English may not be your native tongue, I found your narrative to be compelling and interesting. There were strong indications that despite the frustration, you are trying (and succeeding, unless I miss my guess) to make lemonade out of the Arkk lemon. Were you to want advice, I’d suggest focusing on the tongue in cheek rather than the frustration. Regardless, if you do decide to move on, I hope you find other challenges and fun wherever you go. If you decide to stay, there is no problem with foregoing something you don’t enjoy in favor of doing the paths you do enjoy.

I have almost returned to normal state now, though I can only play games that fit my patience when it comes to wiping (Candy Crush, Super Mario Bros 1). Also on the positive note – I now know who will be my mental opponent on future boxing-classes.

@Gullig Man ill tell you what i did after the first day i tried it (wiped on arkk for like 3 hours) i decided ti leave the boss and w8 for ppl to learn the fight better. In the mean time i watched some kills on youtube and ask for advise from the ppl that aploaded them. A week or 2 after i went in and was better at it than even ppl who had the title.

Ty for the tip. I watched the Youtube-fights a few times before trying 100cm for the first time, but Arkk just kept on killing us anyway. For days. It´s them one shot abilities that I remember so well from my time in Wow. They will always kill pug-players, someone will always rage, a keyboard or two breaks on a regular basis. Everyone like me and their cats have a horrible time on those conditions. I´m very happy for you, and all the rest who got the title though! I hope this fractal is for you and that it gives you the same pleasure as Chaos, aka “DISCO FLOOR FOREVER!”, fractal gave me.

I wouldnt call ot the chaos fractal 2.0 as its not as cancerous as chaos is. And tbh f they fix the anomaly spawn the the disapearing floor is ok imo

I highly doubt anomaly plus floors is unintended. You need to focus anomaly faster. That’s what makes it fun. More RNG. Less scripted. Glorious. If you don’t like it play a lower level fractal, no?

hopefully they will have a new system for LI. i’m not going for legendary armor (cbf with all the farming nonsense), so i’d like to spend it elsewhere.

anyone else like the teleportation? it’s more fun than the boss staying in the middle.

Doing the new fractal feels more like doing a raid where one misplaced mechanic would get the party wiped. as a person who has already done raids to get a full set of legendary armor and is sick of raids, please tune the new fractal down.

If you want challenging content then put in better rewards. After spending 3 hours in the new dungeon pugging and getting 5g is NOT rewarding at all.

your complaining about 3 hours? it took me 10 hours just to kill the 3rd and final boss.
there are a few bugs—for sure—but you have to put in work to make it happen. also, defeating a powerful foe is rewarding, is it not? there are a lot of people who expect to receive some great reward for doing very little. change your way of thinking.

i love the new CM. i got the achievement on the second day after spending 10 hours on the last boss. i was actually quite disappointed—the only way our team could beat the boss, was to bug it out and DPS hard to 40% to skip the floors. it made the achievement feel meaningless. however, we did manage to get the boss to 6% once with floors, but the floors were still bugged in some way, because there were more than 4 tiles present.

keep up the great work! i hope to see more challenging content in the future, as it’s the only reason i stick around this game, for raids and high-level fractals. thank you, Arenanet.
