Hopefully gear inspect and dps meter with HOT

I doubt a DPS meter would mean much here anyway. If Anet does their job correctly, there will be focus on control over damage for some group members and a need to bring defensive support, not just offensive DPS boosting support.
A DPS meter makes sense in a trinity game where your deeps players have 1 job essentially. Hopefully this new content will require enough variety to make such a tool less than practical.
Well yes hopefully. Having said that, there are some good tools like recount that not only measure dps, but aggro, healing, damage taken, damage done etc etc. I’m sure something quite tailored to GW2 unique combat could be done.
Save recount for games like WoW. Guild wars 2 is a very different game. I personally don’t want that, and I’m sure the majority of gw2 players and ArenaNet as well would agree with that statement.
All I can really say is I’m sorry it’s not the glorious ninja/assassin everyone wishes it was.
Now I understand, why Anet decided to name the class Thief, because right now we are indeed look just like a minor crime offenders, who steal a wallet and then run before cops show up.
I have a feeling its gonna have a lot of confusion and daze
The flashier the staff the more confusion.
Staff it is. Hopefully it will be decent as weapon, and hey don’t remove stealth. One thing that I would wish they did is that any staff on a thief would visually look like a naginata or at least a bo staff, but knowing Anet, we will have to run around with glowing sticks and clubs.
The staff doesn’t suit the thief class at all, as he ceases to be the thief/assassin type class at all. Martial arts monk is not a ninja, as some people seem to believe. Monks don’t rely on stealth. As for ninjas, their main weapon was katana, which is a sword, daggers, shortbows, and a bunch of throwing weapons. These are basically all the weapons that the GW2 thief can use to this point. Pistols would be exception, but it seems OK to have a ninja with a pistol in a game with steampank elements. The only suitable new weapon for the ninja among the existing ones would be a torch, as ninjas very often were used for sabotage. That and kits with throwing knives and granades would be the better choice over the staff, in my opinion. The only problem is that current thief is pretty much a ninja already.
As for the rifle, that makes the thief more of a secret agent class, that uses range weapon to kill an enemy from afar, probably has some tricks to disorient and fool them beforehand, and uses stealth to escape if needed. And this would also give the thieves what they lack – more range.
I hope it’s either one of those two, especially as both rifle and torch are two most underused weapons in the game.
Y’all have never started/had a business, I assume.
Obviously the FAQ wasn’t clear, hence the complete outcry by the community and some of the insane arguments that are thrown around. They changed their FAQ to alleviate some of the confusion.
But hey, Anet is Illuminati and is taking over the world. /s
Yes. the FAQ was edited to reflect the current situation and to not be misleading, but why didn’t they include another Q/A explaining that if you happened to buy the original game before the FAQ was edited, you should contact support etc. Even more, there should be a sticky here and an announcement on the front page and in the launcher.

How is it that people still don’t understand, that the problem is not in the ability to earn money for the expansion, but in the amount of the content they offer for that price.
