I was horrible at switching octaves, and keeping the pace fast when needed.
But this helped me out a ton! Alt-bind skills 1-9 with your numeric keyboard numbers num1-9. (if you have it), then set the octave switch to num0.
You can even take advantage of walking with this. Its quite fun with WvW zergs.
If anyone is taking requests, I would love to have either of these three. I’m trying to come up with them on my own, but it is very difficult.
Wild Arms – Main Theme
Skyward Sword – Main Theme
Final Fantasy – To Zanarkand
I have to admit, I have always used my greatsword and not much else (aside from the longbow). But getting exotics of all the weapons and practicing with them in different scenarios would be a nice change. I’ll keep them all on me for utility.
I know that they probably depend a lot on the trait build, but looking at the warhorn it seems as if it would be best to get Power, Toughness, and Vitality (assuming you are using it for mobility/running). Same thing with the shield. As of now I am running a standard zerk build, and I feel comfortable with my survival rate. I suppose I am worried about getting all Power, Precision, and Crit damage gear and have it be useless whenever I try a defensive build.
So far, I am thinking about this.
Greatsword: Zerker
Sword: +Condition (for the bleed it does?)
Longbow: +Condition (fire)
Warhorn: Knight
Shield: Knight
Warhammer: Zerker
Mace: No idea
Axe: Zerker?
Thoughts from a fellow warrior?

Decided to go 128 power, 179 precision, and 128 condition with Superior Sigil of Fire.
After about 2,000 coffers I finally received the Jade longbow skin I wanted. Now I use full zerk gear, and really aim for good precision. But I was wondering if it would be a better idea to get condition damage on my bow rather than the standard zerk stats. Reason being is that I only find myself using my longbow for its flame attacks, and stun. Then switch back to my GS for dps.
I also have 30% condition duration increase from 30 strength, and 250 condition damage from having arms at 25.
This is primarily for PvE. I know there are better sets to use rather than a longbow, but I just always loved the ranged aoe. What would be a good stat-set and rune to go with this bow?
Opened about 500 coffers, 10 rich, and no skin. I expected this, so I am not ranting. I’ve experienced the same thing from all the farming I did during Halloween. Just looking for a solution to not irritate your fan base. Others have went through even more.
Personally, I want three skins. I would still do the grind to get the other two skins I want, and potentially buy coffers from the gem store if Anet developed a way to guarentee me one ticket. Thought up a few ways.
1. Turn in 1,000 RNG boxes for a skin of your choosing. This would be a one time trade per account.
2. Have it be an achievement/quest reward for the events quest line.
3. Simply mail a ticket to our account.
These skins are sweet, but the thought of farming a few hours a day for a month- then not getting a skin would not be cool at all. I do not support RWT at all, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this led people to just buy gold to get a better chance at it.
Just a suggestion.
Just out of curiosity. If you decided on only getting a specific one, why did you chose that over the rest? Or did you just buy everything?
After yearning for the greatsaw so bad, I realized that there are some pretty neat halloween exclusive items that I could just buy at the store. I am definitely getting a costume, and I will probably get the mini package to go with it. Might as well get a guaranteed item right?
For me its a toss-up. The Mad King looks awesome, and the obnoxious jokes are great. Yet the Witch (warlock for me; don’t have any female toons) has the cauldron going for it, and a very cool broomstick animation. As far as the mini’s, I really only like the ghost.
Spent about $30 trying to get a skin (specifically a greatsaw).
No luck so far, and I have about $10 left in gems. I am wondering if it would be best to just purchase $60 more worth to convert to gems, to then buy the greatsaw skin. I also tried the mad king chests and got candy corn.
Do you guys think the price will go down later in the event? Or would it be best to bite the bullet and get it now?
Seeing this whole thing unfold the way it is makes me wonder how many people are actually buying gold from those farmers just to get a shot at a skin. Not that I would ever resort to such measures.
I did not mean to anger anyone. I just thought it would be a productive suggestion that’s all.
Its unfortunate to see an MMO event turn out to be wealth controlled.
Spent $20 to try my luck with the black lion chests, got nothing. No problem. I knew the risk going into it, and at the same time I am supporting the developers. However when you see these players spending $50+ on gems and not getting a skin, it just makes everyone upset. Its safe to assume that most of them will not purchase gems for future events.
The defensive statement being used- “the skins will always be available on the trading post” sounds nice, but that option is already becoming a niche for very wealthy players only. These already high prices will increase exponentially after the event is over. Look at the legendary pre-cursor weapons. Anyone can get these on any day of the year and the prices are high; imagine the prices of these halloween-exclusive skins a month or two after halloween.
So what could be done?
Have every -account- be granted one redeemable “halloween token”. You can redeem this token for one (just one) halloween skin. If possible, the skin purchased with this token would be account bound. Simple. There would still be a market for the other halloween items, and everyone would be happy. The wealthy can still make their investments, and the casual player that doesn’t have exorbitant amounts of money will be satisfied with the skin they like best.
Doing anything else would be problematic. For instance; Increasing the skin loot chances would anger everyone that had already purchased the chests.
(Had to create a new post due to a certain rule redacting the old thread. Fixed the issue in this one.)
It confuses me. I am not sure if I am getting the buffs or not. The guild I am in has everything researched, and has quite a few banners saved up and almost all the boosts. But I just don’t know if the boosts are activated or not.
Will something different show up if they are? Or if the boosts are listed, are they already in effect?
