We used to be #1 in wvw for the first week or so
moved back down to bracket 4… now we rise with strength and commitment of great commanders.
Got first place on bracket 4 moved to bracket 3
Getting first place on bracket 3 moving to bracket 2
1 more bracket and mark my word we will be the one to decrown Henge…To be continued.

Blackgate welcomes you guys. The more forces we get the better. It’s time to move backup to Bracket 2 and soon Bracket 1 where Blackgate used to be!
Mark my word Blackgate is the hero that returns to first place overall sooner or later. Very good strong community of pvpers/force
I’d love to see some sort of auto-loot. FFXIV has it (even with their current horrid engine and coding), and it is very convenient. I think the auto loot system works pretty well, with a “loot list” tab that is useful for when your inventory is full so you have a few minutes to clear space before your loot disappears.
At the very least, some sort of “AOE loot” would work as well. Y’know, press F once and loot all the shinies in the area, instead of having to move around the pile of bandit corpses while spamming F.
Auto-loot in FFXIV was an amazing feature, but rest of the game was horrible
Fully support this for WvW and PvE.
As an added approach, if bags get full let the current in place loot system take effect (drops will be on bags/mobs). I am unsure if the game has an Overflow inventory system like EQ2.
Yeah overflow is another thing def. worth investigating as well.
I hope we get to hear dev’s word on this and this get’s implemented
i agree with juiceman, not only will it simplefy things, as it stands now it diferentiates between the nubs and the smart people even if it takes a mil-second to loot, but that time that you are taking to loot or go and search or it and see where did it drop, did i loot it, what droped for me, you could end up dead in the hands of the enemies.
simplifying to just running around like a mad dog, and gaining things that you should or should not get is the def. PLUS, the only reason this thread is open (imho) is because someone keeps forgetting to loot the lil bag
Thing is it’s not about simplifying or not. It’s about getting rid of the tedious tasks that allows you to be more competitive and enjoying the game more. This is a simple and well accepted philosophy in any game. If you compare today’s MMO with old MMO’s like Everquest and such there’s many other tedious tasks that have been simplified and it’s not going to be stop. It’s what advances gaming! You nee to look at it from the other side to understand that the ‘majority’ approves simplifying simple repetitive tasks to leave more competitive and advanced game mechanics be used more such as ‘focusing int he combat’ which is the key reason why we play right?

Don’t be so sure. Some things get low priority at the outset precisely because they’ll be easy to implement.
This, thus we need to push this hard, keep at it until we get a timetable or it being addressed in the near-term. Honestly it’s frustrating very very, let us enjoy the game. As someone mentioned it’s 2012 little things like this needs to advance.

You would be surprised…. with code anything is possible in fact all that’s happening is the ‘Database’ is creating a loot bag at a location that has certain money and loot then player picks it up. You just cut the extra fat/middleware and let those certain money and loot go straight to the player. Less objects being rendered = more fps, less tracking of bags = more cpu, memory, and the whole looting would be automated. With coding anything is possible it’s just depends on how creative is the programmer/architect that programs such mechanism.
By the way I alt-tab’d after a match just to post this and put my annoyance out there.
Make World vs World loot drops automatically looted to the players bags! For the players sake. I had MANY intense moment when I just kill an enemy player one after the other and die heroically only to be reminded the 10+ bags I missed on because I was too focus on the battle and woop’n butt that no i shouldn’t be rewarded! I’m not kitteny and all but if it weren’t for my and my group of guildies no one would’ve been able to pick up theirs. This topic isn’t about me and or any players but about the fact that I have to put such thought and thinking about looting for me to be rewarded. What happens if I’m the other player? Just for players sake. REWARD US FOR PLAYING! Simply that!!! How hard is it to implemented this? Shoot it may even REDUCE lag and Database/Sever requests. Might as well just don’t even drop bags. Just automatically raise our money and item already placed in bag that’s all. Boy you sold two things with 1 stone!

Honestly can a Customer Rep Moderator be part of the crowd and confirm the status of this or if not can you please pass the message to your folks or give us the reasoning why not this is beinkittenlemented? oh and trust I understand priorities. To us this is a simple task..so do explain.

If we have a HUD that displays cross-swords (attacks), different towers, keep, resource points and even commander icons (Can be maybe turned on/off through options?) with indicators that are full color based on server control or half color if under attack with cross-swords and their respected name displayed. All this can be an option for the titles at least. I have came forward with this suggestion to all players and all of them saying it’s a genius addition that will solve many issues with turning map on/off every-time to see where the action is at, etc.
I honestly honestly honestly believe that such implementation will have a HUGE impact in wvw gaming for both new and old players. Especially goes to new players who are usually lost on where to go.
Everyone please let me know what you think of this with feedback. Would def. love to hear from ArenaNet on their take on this.
I fully agree on the fun factor, I just worry for the future and look at wvw if it’s able to continually sustain that fun factor. I assume with how I’m liking it, yes I can still see myself playing for the long haul. Although I do envision some will find it getting old in the long run unless there’s “Vanity/unique” armor/weapons they can win uniquely for placing in the top 3 for example. Something along that like is what I’m suggesting. It’s better to have such reward system then not to. At the same time it’s balanced since it’s all looks/vanity is what it is.

no tangible rewards. i can be the greatest pvper in the game, but as soon as i leave the mists i am back to being a scruffy looking level 2 charr with only a title to show for it.

Good analysis on the sPvP, if only I could move that skin from sPvP then great otherwise meh. I mean don’t get me wrong I love pvp and do it for the love but not ganna lie to myself as with every game if there’s no long-term/unique reward system in wvw after lvl 80 and all upgrades what’s the point then? Def. need some motivation or a unique reward/skin per weekly or monthly cycle or what have you
I’m fine with the server/lock balance happening but when such thing happens, my assumption and my experiences on world vs world is if there’s no sufficient reward in place it will eventually die down. I know ArenaNet knows it and just wanted to hear that there’s some consideration or revisit on rewards/unique rewards/events system for wvw besides getting the small 1% boosts and the saying for “Hey were #1”
Is there some kind of consideration of doing like a season tournament or something in the like that would reward the largest contributing guild or what have you with unique skin/weapons/armor? I envision that wvw is fun right now but with no unique rewards the motivation to do wvw may fade. This is all hypothetical but based on my experiences it’s usually true unless there’s some kind of reward is attached to it…
