I certainly hope so as in it’s current state I find it hard to enjoy the expansion.
Hello fellow gw2 players,
I recently bought the HoT expansion and I have to say that I’m disappointed. I’m disappointed not because the expansion is bad or anything, but because I just can’t play it with the frames per second I get. In the vanilla game I get a solid fps around 50 on high settings, reflections off. Low settings I could play at 60 fps all time unless there is a massive zerg. Something I was fine with.
So I bought HoT, expecting my FPS to drop somewhat because the maps are larger and it’s a jungle. Again I would be fine as long as I could play on low and have 50+ fps. But this is not the case. I now have to play on low with fps capped at 30 because else it’s just unplayable due to input lag and low framerate.
Here are my system specs:
i7 3770
gtx 650
When playing the GPU usage goes all the way up to 100%, good.
But the CPU usage does not, it stays at around 50-60% at the 1st core, the other 7 are like nah, not today, and stay at 10-20%. I thought I had read everywhere that the game is CPU heavy on a single core, but 50-60% isn’t it’s full capacity.
Temperatures of both the GPU and CPU are stable around 50-60 degrees.
Can anyone help me? Is this normal?
