It’s time to bring back Dragon Ball, an activity that was destined for the Action Camera.

I don’t know when it got fixed, but for the longest time there was camera turn stuttering that occurred with Nvidia cards while shadows were set to Ultra. This persisted across my GTX 480, Titan, and 980Ti on various Intel-based builds.
I enabled Ultra Shadows a couple days ago to take some screenshots for gw2style.com and found out that the camera turn stutter was no longer there. I don’t know who fixed it or even when, but thank you. It’s great playing with shadows set to Ultra now!

Asura fashion is best fashion.
With the recent acquisition of a Mini Fancy Llama, I’m faced with the dillama of either destroying its body for permanent inclusion into my Account Wardrobe, or saving its fancy husk on the future chance I acquire six more Mini Llamas to fuse together to create a Mini Elegant Llama (the one with the monocle).
The Account Wardrobe has merit so I don’t have to take up a bag slot nor double click on the Mini for every time I change zones or log in, but if I do happen to get six more Mini Llamas eventually, I’ll be guffawing at my past self for basically making myself get three more Mini Llamas to obtain the Monocle Myth.
Or perhaps a small request to developers could be made so that, just for Mini Llamas and their fancy evolutionary brethren, ‘Add to Account Wardrobe’ won’t destroy their tasty-to-Zommoros hides. This would solve all dillamas!
I personally have 3 Mini Llamas; one from ‘winning’ a round in an sPvP tournament, one from winning a Twitch drawing, and one that was sent to me from Anet for a reason that’s still a mystery. However I’ve consumed one already, so for Zomorros purposes I only have 2 Llamas.
I hope 2 Llamas is enough to at least get a partially dapper Llama!
I got… a Mini Llama! (?)
I really did. Not sure why. I had already won two (one for winning a match in Tournament of Glory, and one that exact same day for winning a Twitch chat giveaway – I’m sorry everyone else, I thought I would be able to give that 2nd Llama to a friend!), so this is my third and I cannot share it as it’s Account Bound. But it was sent out to me at the same time these weapons were sent out and I don’t know what prompted this Llama to be sent.
If Polymock 2 one day comes out and we can have a team of multiples, I’ll have an unstoppable 3 Llama Squad.
If the Oontz Necklace makes you darker, and this secret recipe requires a Ghostly Doubloon and an Oontz Necklace, then maybe the secret item makes your character appear all ghostly instead of darker.
Ghostly Doubloon (both Rare and Masterwork) does fit into the Mystic Forge, but I can’t find anything that goes with it.
Details for people that aren’t able to play right now please.
This is the new Exchange UI; you can’t put in a custom amount anymore, you can’t see how much gold you get for 100 gems (because you have to at minimum trade 400 gems now). There are also no more charts that show the history of prices over the past 1-2 weeks.
Fun Fact: There was a popular in-game event to try and bring back these Bunny Ears!

I’m going to give this method a try.
As a customer of Guild Wars 2, I’d like to formally request some ‘The Frog’ cameos to be occasionally stocked in Lions Arch.
If its about dropping needless siege ie. ballistas in front of gate. There is a very simple fix. When anyone tosses down a blueprint, there should be an icon on top of it to show WHAT the piece of siege is superior siege can be colored gold, then you let people select that siege by clicking on that icon itself so they can build that specific one ignoring all other troll siege.
Ultimately, anyone who knows better will not build useless siege (ballistas) by a gate.
Honestly, just changing the UI to say ‘Build Flame Ram’ or ‘Build Ballista’ instead of just ‘Build’ would go a long way to alleviate the issue.
Now I don’t want to give ideas to anyone… but literally any player can join any commander. Even from enemy servers. So this isn’t a solution, the troll would just have a few people join their squad from the other server. Or from the guild.
It would definitely have to be a tighter system before being implemented in this fashion, yes.
The exhaustion idea has merit, however, a limit of three seems a bit small considering you may want to quickly build a number of defensive siege when you see a blob storming your keep. I’d wager the griefers won’t be dissuaded no matter what cap is put in place. They’d just wait it out.
One small tweak, perhaps, would be to not allow flame rams to be created inside a tower, camp or inner keep (SM & Garrison). At least force the griefers to use something that has a modicum of value.
I think a system that allows siege to be destroyed by the player base would be a better way to go. Some sort of approval where some number of players concur that a piece of siege should be destroyed in any given area. It would be a lot harder to get a group of griefers together to remove siege than it is for them to create it.
Allow a squad to salvage siege for a percentage of supplies used to build it? Share those supplies among the squad members that aren’t full?
A commander with 10+ people in his/her squad should be able to destroy siege. The number can change depending on factors like Outmanned Buff.
To kick off the brainstorm I’ll throw out this idea:
- When a player places a piece of siege they receive a stack of “Exhaustion”
- A stack of “Exhaustion” expires after three minutes
- If a player has three stacks of “Exhaustion” they can no longer place siege
This has problems:
Several EU servers are running a policy where only commander should deploy siege blueprints. He can easily alone put 3-4 rams on one gate or set up 4 catapults to take down a reinforced wall with the current system or deploy more than 3 superior ACs to siege up a tower or a keep. Now he would need to wait to break in the inner keep or somebody else would be needing to deploy the siege. Siege blueprints are a big cost for PuG commanders (myself included), but some receive donations from their allies. Popular commanders are generally trusted by their community and the least likely to be trolls due their visible role in the game.
Removing the suggested “exhaustion” restrictions from those who have the commander tag up would not completely stop the abuse, but make it much rarer and more visible. Many now have a commander tag, but a typical siege troll has his main on the enemy server and and is using an alt account and often has an upleveled character, who doesn’t have a commander tag.
I cannot invent a foolproof system stop the siege trolling. My best advice is: use the ingame report tool and have more Arenanet employer or volunteers (among the player base), who handle the reported cases. Serious violations should lead to banning that account from entering WvWvW. Hacking is another issue, which would need human interaction.
Because commander tags are fairly common, I recommend adding to this suggestion that might also hit two birds with one stone:
For every person in a Commander’s squad, exhaustion from placing siege is reduced by 1 minute (making it so only a few people in the squad would reduce this exhaustion to zero). Because of this, the natural ‘Exhaustion’ period could be something higher like 10 minutes.
What this will do:
- Promote people following a commander to join their squad (“Join my squad so I can drop siege!”). This habit will make it easier for commanders to check supply as well.
- Exhaustion will affect siege trolls who don’t tag up and also get multiple people to follow them. If they do happen to go to this extreme effort, they will be easily spotted on the map for what they are since they’ll have a tag up.
- Promote legitimate defenders to tag up to drop siege and to create a focal defense point for people to see on the map.
Tittymcgee does look like it goes against the naming policy.
Possible mammory-centric substitutes for you to consider (though some of these might also not be accepted):
Chestbulges
Commander Pouches
Madam Orries
Eyes Are Up Here
Doublemilk
Age Of Cleave
Thank you all for coming out! Hopefully this catches Anet’s attention in some way or form, especially with the great turnout.

Among other items like Aviator Sunglasses and Wide Rim Glasses , a lot of players were hoping (hopping!) for Bunny Ears to be brought back for the 2nd Anniversary Gem Store Sale.
These were items that were all taken off from the Gem Store before the big Wardrobe and Town Clothes change, and folks that would’ve otherwise bought these items for combat and general use never did.
Let’s send a message to ArenaNet that we want Bunny Ears and the rest of these items brought back to the Gem Store, even if just temporarily.
Tonight, I’ll be hosting an event where we will hop (literally hop with gratuitous use of the spacebar) from Rata Sum to Ebonhawke, gathering carrots along the way and occasionally helping low level characters by rabbitzerging events we come across.
A rough map of our route can be found here.
The highest level zone we’ll be hopping through will be Blazeridge Steppes (40-50), so this journey will be great for bringing characters who aren’t quite at level 80 yet. Plus, it’ll be a good way to activate some waypoints on a character who hasn’t traveled across Tyria before.
The general guidelines of this expedition are as follows:
- Keep jumping as you move.
- Collect any and all carrots along the way.
- Don’t be afraid to detour off course to help with events while we travel.
- Make rabbit puns in chat.
Take screenshots and/or video to show Reddit & Anet later.
Be at Rata Sum by 9pm ET / 6pm PT (Tonight, Sunday August 31st). Initial meet-up is at the Super Adventure Box.
Also, Guest to Anvil Rock (Megaserver placement is still affected somewhat by guesting) to try to ensure we all get into the same instance. We’ll want to party up to ensure we don’t get split into different Megaservers as we exodus across Tyria.
Finally, if you have a Commander tag, turn it on. We’ll flood the minimap with doritos since rabbits love doritos.

Edit 1: I’ll be streaming the event on Twitch tonight for anyone that wants to watch it all happen. There will be music! http://www.twitch.tv/lumpofcole

The Master of Peace is a descendant of the Master of Whispers, and is trying to ensure the Realm of Truth remains undisturbed by the awakening of Mordremoth.
I think the attitude of most WvW players is that, if they see players playing drums instead of stacking might, they’re going to mark those drum-players as easy kills and will bumrush them for bags.
I find GS/Staff to be the most fun weapons on the Mesmer when paired with a shatter build.
Wow, giving away something like this is really generous.
I would only sell it, so don’t give it to me, but good luck to the winner!

Holy macaroni. That’s awesome! …kitten now I have to make an Asura. Is the hat dyeable?
Yes it is! However, the rose color is tied into the main hat color for some reason, so keep that in mind.

Infomercial!!! Scam!!! How many stacks of these poor quality items are you sitting on Lump?
Good video though, I laughed
Only a few stacks, I swear.
Nice video, just a shame that it has a ten second cooldown. Sorry to burst your bubble.
This is a true and fair point, but the same criticism can be said of Sigils of Renewal (even if it didn’t have a CD, there’s still 9 or 10 seconds of waiting between switching back and forth weapons in combat), and those prices are exceptionally higher than Sigils of Water at the moment.
I’m wagering the next three blog posts will outline an overhaul of the PvE server system, merging zones across multiple servers.
Think about it: Do we really need every server to have their own Metrica Province or Lornar’s Pass at this point? No. They might as well start as ‘Overflows’ for everyone in a region, actually being filled with life again.
Maybe ‘Guesting’ and ‘Overflows’ will no longer exist as terms. We might even get selectable Districts like GW 1. If we’re lucky, we’ll be able to set up private/custom/guild Districts for events like Tequatl.
This will mean a lot of changes, obviously, like having the Orr events start at the same time for everyone like Living Story events. Folks might actually need to earn the right to get to the Obsidian Shard vendor instead of just look at a website and Guest to the right server.
Maybe this will mean events in Orr will have PvE progression tracks in the same way PvP tracks got announced today.
Unlocking access to time/event gated dungeons would have to either change or be removed with this change.
Cities like Divinity’s Reach might still be server-locked, but if a District system is re-implemented, then it’ll be inconsequential really.
Perhaps I’m totally wrong, but I wonder what else could possibly constitute three days of blog posts to fully explain or rationalize. I suppose it could be a flurry of smaller features though.
If I am completely off-base, does Anet consider any of the changes above would work at least for lower population zones across Tyria for a patch way in the future?
