Unjoinable overflows within overflows now?
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

I was just playing the event with my brother, and we were already in an overflow when facing off against the knights. Then, when we used the teleporters to go to the Breachmaker, I ended up in one version of it while he ended up in another, but we could still see each other’s portraits and were considered to be in the same instance, meaning I couldn’t join him and he couldn’t join me. I think I was in the “overflow” version since he said his was full and mine struggled quite a bit. Anyway, once his group succeeded, the dialogue box popped up for both of us to join the story instance, and I accepted. We completed it, and I actually got dropped right back in the middle of my own boss battle (which unfortunately failed) while he was sent to the ground. Needless to say, it was really weird, and I wish we’d at least been in true overflows so that we could have joined one another. The way it was done made it really inconvenient. You’d think a party at the very least would be able to play together.
I won’t pretend to possess knowledge equal to others in terms of how this would affect everything, but why not just make attributes other than power, precision, and critical damage more attractive by making them affect more things? If we think the main reason for attributes like toughness, vitality, and healing power being largely ignored is because active defenses overshadow passive defenses, why not make those attributes affect active defenses in some way as well? Vitality could still increase health but also enhance the rate of endurance regeneration by some factor, for instance. Again, I’m not an expert at balancing, but it seems from a casual perspective that making defensive attributes more attractive by taking both active and passive defense into account would help alleviate the problem somewhat.
I know this isn’t the best solution, but I believe I’ve found a way to at least get the laurel even if you miss out on the bit of karma and essence of luck. Do the PvP Daily. Just tried that this morning, and even though I had 100% on the standard Daily, it recognized that I had not yet received a laurel when I completed the PvP Daily. Again, I know this isn’t ideal, but for anyone who really wants to keep up with laurels, this worked for me (though no promises that it’ll work universally).
So, theoretical question … If we didn’t get awarded the reward chest, can we at least get the laurel through completing the Daily PvP? Or does the 100% on the standard Daily lock us out of the laurel regardless of chest receipt?
Same here, Eredon Terrace. No daily award chest.
I had completed Daily Activity Participation, Daily Mists Invasion Defender, Condition Remover, and Daily Gatherer. Upon completing Daily Mists Camp Capturer, I did not receive a chest, and when I went to the daily achievement panel to investigate, the game crashed. I went back on and attempted to complete Ambient Killer to see if that would trigger the chest, but no luck.
