I do want to ask though, how is it that you guys dont have a teleport or
pull function for characters in game??? Doesnt that strike you as a bit
odd? as more than an avid MMO player this is almost entirely unheard of for
a tech support team to be unable to relocate characters….. expecially
with the recent ddos attacks whould it not make sense to be able to move
populations around on the mega server to accomodate hacked areas?
This is what I posted to the tech support branch this morning and the reply I got was a little worriesome.
Allow me to offer context. I have a problem with my install that has taken a good deal of effort to fix(and at the time I am posting this is is still affecting my high level characters) The simplest most effective fix at this point would be simply to move my characters to a diverent area as the corrupted file is only in Rata Sum. Hoever the GMS cant do it……?
As a result of the corrupted file I have 1 character out of 3 at my disposal and he is only level 23
My suggestion is very simple ANET. Allow your gms the ability to move chaarcters from corrupted or ddos’d areas so that if a player is in my situation they can at least enjoy the game while they work to rectify the problem.
Your tech support and customer service is top notch really, however I feel that this option being overlooked is a diservice to those of use whom unintentionally lose access to our characters.
Hopefully this thread gets looked at
