Two of my friends have a problem with the hero point northwest of the Vale waypoint (Queensdale), the one where you have to consume the item that you recieve in your inventory. They do not see the hero point on the map and do not have an option to recieve/take the item. Their accounts are fresh and so are the characters.
Are you getting the Connection error(s) detected. Retrying.. ? I’ve been getting that since the March 22th patch and can’t seem to fix it in any way. It’s super frustrating.
After that patch I can’t even play the kitten game.
I am getting genuinely mad at this, literally none of the fixes worked for me and it didn’t fix itself either. Still can’t play the god kitten game.

I solved ussing this command line argument
“-clientport 443”

I tried this, with both 80 and 443 with no success. I am still getting the issue even though it’s already March 25th. Really annoying, missed the dailies and log in rewards. I just want to play the game right now lol.
After the 22th March update, I started getting this problem. I have tried the solutions that are listed here: https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/93290408-Problems-Downloading-or-Patching , I tried with the Google DNS and the MCONFIG but without any success. Any help would be appreciated.
