Should I wait for HoT before I 100% map complete with my first character?

I remember reading somewhere that the HoT expansion will give us more stuff to do for PVE, such as completing maps and finding hard to reach areas, getting unique rewards in the process. So my question is, what if you already completed all the maps? Do you get the bonuses that HoT will offer right away or are you just out of luck? I ask because I just reached LVL 80 with my Warrior and I have only 35% map completion. I really want to keep playing as my Warrior and complete the map, but I will be really bummed if I did all this work and not get compensated from the HoT rewards that will be released in 2 weeks. (I cannot wait that long lol).

For example, my Sylvari Guardian wields his greatsword upward, leaning behind him. It’s cool and all, but I really like the way the Norn and Charr are able to hold the greatsword. They hold it to their right side and hangs on the right, super cool looking. I could have sworn I have seen a fellow Sylvari player wield their greatsword like the Charr. I’m pretty sure I’ve gone through all the options and settings trying to find a way, maybe one of you can give me an answer. Thank you.
