Would it be possible to have an option to refund a laurel item purchase if you haven’t used/soulbound the item?
My wife purchased a 2 ranger gear chest for 5 laurels and it is currently under construction. This purchase was made over three weeks ago. Would it be possible for her to sell it back and retrieve the laurels she spent?
Anyone else have a similar type of issue?
Daily Achievements… turning out to be.. for the hardcore players only…?
Dodging any mob in your choice.. or going body surfing into a crowd of enemies in WvWvW to finish this achievement in 5-10 seconds?
Crafting items with materials you can buy from the vendor standing next to the station?
I swear our community is going to end up like those people in Wall-E.
Would it be possible to consider changing how the guild location claiming works?
Example:
Camps – Requires standard guild symbol
Towers and Keeps – Requires at least 1 active buff
Castle – Requires at least 2 active buffs
If active buffs expire during claim, the guild loses claim to the location until another claims it.
What do you guys think?
A great entry level game for people looking to get into the MMO scene.
Not strongly suited for those who have played in more traditional MMOs. Its hard to compare, especially if you have been in another game for a long time. I’ve been in FFXI since its initial release and sometimes you find it hard to adjust.
Great game to get to the end easily and never be overpowered by someone who has played 1000 more hours than you.
If you are fine with looking like plain jane, can equip pretty much obtain end game equipment at minimal cost. If not, you may be grinding for awhile.
Storyline wasn’t great, but it was not bad. FFXI has some amazing storylines, so there is a biased high bar I set. But I don’t think it was GW2’s intent to make the story that deep but rather easy to understand. Storylines will expand I’m sure. People expect too much too quick however.
Not a game to rush. If you rush the experience, you will end up bored and on this forum talking about it.
Would it be possible to request for a full refund? Or is this feature only available to those who successfully used the exploit? I don’t really care about the people who did the so-called cheating but I do think its unfair that people are allowed to have full refunds for the in-game purchases/game and others do not. And yes I know requesting a full refund would mean the account would be removed completely. What qualifies someone to be granted a full refund? May I have this question answered by someone like Gaile or the staff team?
Hello everyone,
I recently received an email stating the following:
A log-in attempt from the following location is currently awaiting your authorization.
Address: 115.50.26.83
City: Luoyang
Region: 09
Country: CN
I deleted this email and changed my passwords just incase. If I get this message does it mean that the user successfully got my password and tried to login? Or even if the password was incorrect it will flag this email?
Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to make a queue for server transfers? Here is an example:
Current way:
Friend purchases game. I tell friend, “Oh yeah! I am on Trogdor server!”
Friend says, “OK! I will pick that! Oh wait it is full!”
I say, “Oh yeah, its a pretty busy server. You might want to take some PTO because I need you to try every 10 minutes to check and see when its available.”
Proposed way:
Friend purchases game. I tell friend, “Oh yeah! I am on Trogdor server!”
Friend says, “OK! I will pick that! Oh wait it is full but I put myself in the queue”
I say, “Oh great! It is a pretty busy server but at least you don’t have to keep checking if you can get in or not!”
Maybe it can alert you via in game mail or a popup just like Overflow/WvWvW.
Sounds like a glass cannon gank in a group gone wrong.
I didn’t lose anything so its not really a big deal. But when I saw the name because I log into the forums first for some reason when I get home, I had that like gut punched feeling!
Yeah dude! I was like what the heck. But then it kind of grew on me in the last 10 minutes.
Anyone else get a random name change? I assume mine was for being inappropriate. (old name was MajesticMofo)
I didn’t get an email or anything saying “Hey we changed your name because it offended people” etc
That normal for them to change the forum name with no questions? I thought I was hacked at first since this name sounds strange lol.
Turn dialog sound .. off?
Or maybe we fancy, “I can run faster than a centaur!” over “For Great Justice!”
FFXI was fun until they shifted their efforts into FFXIV. Then they gave in to everyone’s demands of FFXI being difficult. Now any pride you took from small things such as, beating OU or the CoP storyline in general can be done by a single person. And now you can become max level by just standing in one place. You only ever have to move twice. One to the Bastok mines area to get to level 30 and then to Abyssea for the rest of the way.
MMOs are changing for the worst unfortunately. Its not really the developers fault either. People’s attention spans are not what they used to be. No one wants to be part of that Fafnir/Nidhogg window anymore. No one wants to spend hours everyday to get a single tank a pair of crimson cruisers so they can kite better. I haven’t played WoW personally, so I can’t speak on that but in the FFXI world – a lot of people have the patient of saints to devote so much time going to a place called Sky for hours/days/weeks for the chance to lot on an item that you might not get.
Now in GW2, I don’t think this game was designed for hardcore MMOers to migrate their lives to. The fact that the game is not pay to play is pretty much proof enough. This game seems to be a great gateway for people who never touched an MMO. I play here with friends who never had interest in mmos and thought “oh one of those evercrack type games? nah im good” It has been a great game to my friends and I and it has only just started.
What is this Kirito-fail sob story about not being able to solo every part of this game? lol
I want to play a mmo but I want to play alone. Darkness is the only thing that hugs me!
Seems like its working as intended. OP adjustments makes it sound more Warrior styled.
I suppose a good recap of this entire thing is..
OP: I am unable to play the Guardian class with its top tier gear because I spent monies on it. I have more fun on my low level Elementalist.
OP: I spent 100+ gold switching out armor, weapons, accessories. I was not aware of a PVP function in GW2 that allows trait switching and equipment stat swapping for free.
OP: I’ve tried to press the buttons on my keyboard many times to survive. But I am unable. I tried all of the buttons. All of them.
OP: I want all of the newer generation Guardians to know this, to save themselves the agony of defeat if they lack proper skill but have a good amount of money.
Seems like a cry for an out if you fail to gank someone in WvWvW or PVP. PVE however the above poster had very valid points. If something like this was implemented if it could only be for PVE that would be great!
