Just admit this diminishing return system was a bad idea. Connecting all the servers to the TP drove the prices to nothing….so disappointing. Obvious gold attrition system is obvious.
get rid of DR and up silver kthx, 1silver for a DE is just sad
I’ve said in another post; I couldn’t care less how hard or long the dungeons are. I don’t care how long the prestige gear takes to get. There was absolutely no purpose to nerfing the gold. ~20’ish silver is good enough to where people can feel their time was decently spent. I don’t like crafting, exploring, or DE’s….i like running dungeons. The diminishing returns also got me rather irritated. I’m not stopping after one set, i’m transmuting the gear i want to look like awesome gear. The gear you’re transmuting the looks from gets destroyed, yes? So, you would have to farm another to transmute another set. Not to mention farming the set with the stats I want and grinding the set for the looks that I want. Also, i am going to have two sets; one for dungeon crawling and one for pvp. If i want those sets to look differently i have to farm four sets of gear. <—-just matter-of-factly, no complaints except the gold nerf and DR.
@OP that’s a great idea, just to introduce the games’ mechanics(dodge, no dedicated trinity, etc) make it more on the side of a tutorial, Call it some type of boot camp thingy

Make it a long process, I AGREE COMPLETELY, just keep the silver at 24 static. I couldn’t give a kitten less how long it takes to get the gear. I’M NOT PLAYING THIS GAME TO BE GOLD STARVED. Up the silver and i don’t give akittenhow hard or long the dungeons are.
I’m all for making them more difficult, JUST UP THE SILVER AND MAKE IT WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT.
I got 13s for first CoF exp run of the day, 6s for CM story(helped some guildies run their first time) Talk about a waste of time….
24 silver is decent enough so if the grp wipes 50+ times…well yeah they’re going to have a nice time repairing BUT the people that run them efficiently can still make money and feel their time was at least decently spent.

I FINALLY was able to find a grp for CoF, we finished, relatively painless too. The kite room is still a corpse lobber, which is lame. I haven’t ran anything for…2 days? got 13s…..
I agree that some of the armor is cosmetically bland and completely unattractive. UGLY would be a much more appropriate term.
Why would people not do shard runs? not like completing the dungeon is worth it.
I tried to run CoF and was planning on running legitimately BUT no one wanted to go. The waypoint was contested/blocked and no one was at the entrance.

Dungeons are not worth the time. NONE of the dungeon gear has the stats i want. Game is bunk. I can’t customize my character stat-wise.

They are killing it for me.
Here’s a situation that happens quite often:
2 vs 1 scenario. I manage to get them both on a downed state, but since I’m badly damaged, before I can finish one of them or run away to heal, they both keep attacking me and manage to get me down and guess what? Since us 3 are downed, guess who is gonna die first? And after killing me, they both get up, due to “Rally”, like nothing happened….
I couldn’t have put this better myself. In fact, this is the primary reason that I have stopped PvPing for now, hoping that this ridiculous Downed/Rally mess will be removed from PvP.
This system has no place in PvP. It is allowing people whom I have already defeated to get a second health bar and makes 2v1 almost impossible once one enemy “revives” the other, especially in a case like the above one, where I was able to beat two people but my health is so low and I am so loaded with conditions than I cannot escape, so instead of me standing over two dead enemies, hurting but alive, I wind up just like this poster: being killed by two people that I just beat fair and square.
I have enjoyed competitive PvP in several mmo’s, and here’s my thing: if you want a “second health bar”, then you need to re-spawn and come try me again. This system is cheesy and it makes the PvP in this game far inferior to the original. Much of the skill requirement has been removed and now we are seeing the almighty zerg instead of preparation and teamwork.
Seriously ANet, Downed needs to be dumped from PvP.
I’ve been in this exact situation, where i kill TWO people and they rally. After a long fight with some warrior and he downs me but i manage to rally because he has 1% health, NO ACCOMPLISHMENT. Really, i feel like i’m abusing the system. Know what i do now? get them to 5% or less then let them down me in a 1v1 lol i win. Instant rally-win. I’m good, amirite? srry, no skill there.
Get rid of this pointless downed-state in spvp.

If done correctly necro’s can blind for 30+ secs. Let me say that again….THIRTY SECONDS OF NO DAMAGE from that target(s). These blinds i speak of are aoe btw AOE heal with life transfer and health regen from staff if people are close enough when it pops.
Though i do agree the gargoyle heads in AC are a bit rough…to say the least lol

Anyway, this can 1v1 any class. Mesmers are a bit of a pain tho.
FYI, condition dmg ignores toughness so laugh at the war’s and guards with their toughness and wall of boons…little do they know their boons will be the death of them lol
but on a side note just take a class and decide what you want them to do EXACTLY. I built this with the idea of playing with conditions. Epidemic would be pretty fun for spreading the necro love.
