Guild Wars 2

Hello! I’m glad to have caught your post. I’m a new player on Crystal Desert, a member of The Fallen Stars. I used to play Lord of the Rings online, and was a member of an in-game ‘band’ – members of the guild I was in that had volunteered to perform music for guild events and such. It was a much easier system, as you did not really have to play ‘live’; there was an often used database of midi files, essentially, that players could cue through the game interface to play a song automatically. The only difficulty in playing as an ensemble was clicking ‘start’ all at the same time. Latency was an issue in Lotro as well, but usually worked beautifully. I just purchased the new Harp! I played piano in real life long ago, but have lost the skill; now I just squawk on a synthesizer from time to time, but have a desire to play music again. I think forming some sort of group for music performances in GW2 sounds like a lot of fun! I would love to hear your ideas, experiences, and hope that I could offer something in return. I’m going to start sifting the song list here in the forums, and choose some music to practice playing in game.
