Still broken after the new build.
I’m referring to this: https://twitter.com/GuildWars2/status/614560129573351424
Please remember that a very large portion of your player base doesn’t agree with the court’s decision today.
Just finished my first run of the Aetherpath, which took our group five hours. Was really disappointed to see the reward of 2 gold when a ten minute CoF run gives 1 gold. Can this be increased significantly?
Maybe a good compromise would be to add permanent access passes for SAB to the Gem Store. I’d be willing to pay 2,000 gems per world. What would you be willing to pay?
I’m pretty sure the idea of Gradually Increasing Precursor Chance After Failure (GIPCAF) has been suggested before, but I thought I would bring it up again because its similar to a system the D3 devs are adding in their expansion. Here’s a forum quote from one of their devs recently:1
The fact that some people claim to go for 10+ hours without finding a legendary is not only not our intent, but should in fact be impossible. We added a system in the expansion that tracks the amount of time you spend fighting creatures without finding a legendary and after a certain period of time will slowly start increasing the legendary drop rate. Once a legendary drops for you, actual item not crafting recipe or material, we reset that timer. This is meant to be a safety net so that the random can never be too extreme to the negative end. If players are legitimately going 18+ hours and not seeing a legendary it’s possible that there are some bugs floating around that need to be identified.
So instead of tracking time spent fighting mobs, what if GW2 tracked mystic forge attempts and slowly increased the chance of a precursor until you were able to forge one, at which point it would reset.
I think it would be a great way to fill the gap until the precursor scavenger hunt/crafting is completed. Of course, I might be a little biased as someone who has thrown 3,500 rare lvl80 greatswords into the forge with getting dawn or dusk.

Finally forged my first legendary last night: Meteorlogicus! I’ve been working towards a legendary since the game’s release and was originally going to go for the Bifrost, but after they updated it to modify the projectiles, I shifted gears towards the scepter (plus they added the footstep to it).
There was a buy order for 2000g, which made me pause for a second before equipping it
I keep getting tossed around like a ragdoll trying to avoid the tornadoes. I finally beat her after 10 attempts but got lucky just bursting her down.
I still had the standard five slots and was excited to see character slots on sale in the gem store this morning. I purchased three in a row (1800 gems) and when I logged out I expected to have eight slots total, but instead had eleven. My guess is that each purchase was giving two slots?
I agree that Nightcapping won’t be an issue long term. Those servers will be able to acquire a greater amount of points during the night and throughout the day and will bubble up in the rankings. That will leave the night-cappers to face each other over and over again.
