Doesn’t really matter. The whole principle behind adding tier gear is what’s driven me away. GW2 is not the special, innovated game they advertised. I want that game.

That depends quite a bit on what you like to do in game. I normally just play in the open world, wandering about doing DEs. That’s what I do. Playing normally It’d take months of gathering for the mats I needed to make one weapon.

I had to do certain parts I the game I normally avoid to get all mine, but you are somewhat right, perhaps not “rediculously easy” but certainly not too difficult. It only takes maybe two days of deliberate farming to obtain your mats.

You’re right, maybe not ridiculously, but seriously, when I looked to the requirements and saw “GRIND GRIND GRIND”, I laughed really hard. I finished my legendary yesterday and THIS was something grindy to get (2000 T6 wut). If you want to get ascended gear fast while playing 1 or 2h per day… meh.

Assuming something is simple never is a winning move.
Plus, it works as an incentive to keep winning (like some of the most prestigious real world trophies).

That’s rather amusing, considering one of the biggest complaints from high-end PC users is that the game doesn’t utilize their full resources because of being optimized for low-end rigs.

Yeah right. This game used to be optimized for low-end rigs, but they must’ve updated some unseen aspect of the graphics, because I can’t play GW2 on my laptop anymore. I used to be able to run it fine, up until about 3 months ago when I can barely move 2 feet anymore without getting hit with a wall of fps lag. My laptop is only 2 years old, and it runs every other game just fine.

My laptop is as old as your and run perfectly, even when we’re a full map against Scarlet.

Day after day i’m impressed by the amount of players who are totally BAD at this game while they think they’re pure r0xx0r.

They don’t know how to play, they only know patterns and are miserable when it comes to play without it.

This thread is pure gold. Forum wars became such a big part of WvW.
To reflect this, I have a proposition.
Lets count all Infraction points(or whatever is it called on this forums) given out by mods in this topic and add them to WvW score at the end of each match. It would give servers opportunity to counter enemy night/morning capping by going to forums and flaming other server as hard as they can, gaining points this way instead.
We can also make a list of special insults worth extra points.
accusation of hacking: 15 pts.
your server is full of bandwagoners: 25 pts
you only wipe us if you blob: 25 pts
any remark of offpeak hour PvD: 35 pts
making forum last stand: 50 pts
