At first i was afraid i would be confused at everything i need to learn playing this new game, but this completely helped me.
This guide is so awesome that it not only shows how GW2 can be so different from other MMOs, and teaches you the basics and what to expect of the combat system. All the possibilities, the different builds, customization and how to do them your way and not someone else is just nice.
Also the videos, they show exactly what you’re trying to say, and are beatifully explained.
I’m one of the noobies who got/will get helped by this awesome guide and i’ll absolutely follow it.
Oh, thanks for the fast answers guys.
DreamyAbaddon, i’ll keep that in mind, as soon as i finish downloading the game i’ll try to contact you, i really appreciate that.
And Shonie, that helped a lot, so the heavy armor classes are generally easiest? (Guardian, Warrior?) Because in the main MMO i played my main character class was a mix of support (buffs and HoTs) and heavy physical DPS and it was the funniest to play, also one of the hardest to master. There’s something like this in here?
Also, sorry if i sound a bit confusing, my native language is not english xP
Hello guys, i never played GW or GW2, and i decided to buy this game today so…
I’m quite well experienced around MMORPGs, but i heard/saw that GW2 is kinda different, and i was taking a look at the professions and i feel like i’ll have a long time in the character creation menu. xD
I’m leaning towards Thief/Mesmer so i would like to ask something, is the playstyle of any class boring, or you can adapt and customize your build when you feel like it? Are all professions beginner-friendly? I feel like i want to use a class that doesn’t gets boring as i level up and do my Story (At least for my first character).
I’m quite an enthusiast when it comes about lore, so one of the selling points in this MMO was the Living Story system, which i find great, but i’m also a PvPer, and i heard the PvP in this game is pretty good actually.
So, uhh, Thief does well in PvE? And what about mesmer and it’s attacks, it’s all ranged? cause i like Melee skills a bit more. I’m sorry if they’re idiot questions :P
Btw, the soundtrack for this is great.
