"Jack of all Trades" profession?

Every class in Guild Wars 2 is a Jack of all trades to an extent. They can all hold their own, on their own, each as powerful as each other. There are some vast differences in play styles, but even a Guardian can be a pet master, a Mesmer can make a great tank.

You may have heard that some classes don’t hold their own in certain circumstances, but the games combat is so much about skill, timing and tactics that you’d be hard pressed to find a class which truly cannot under any circumstances shine in any given situation.

I totally agree however that the Elementalist is probably the most versatile class on the surface, due to it’s ability to summon weapons and switch elements, what have you, but then an Engineer can use a skill to become a combat medic one moment, and another skill to pull out a Flamethrower, whilst dealing and deflecting damage with main weapons.

I don’t know really how a warrior can be thought of as a Jack of All Trades though… They don’t really have the ability to be a healer.

Sell a Musical Instrument. No "Preview".

The title sounds kitten, I know! I’m really just surprised items like this aren’t better marketed to be perfectly honest.

C’mon. You can do better than this ANet. Admittedly you’re not the only MMO developer to put things in their cash shop without a proper preview available anywhere, which always makes me scratch my head that you’re running a multi-million dollar business, based on the selling on digital products, you’re happy to put in the effort to make cool things like this, but you leave it to the players to make a video of what it actually plays like.

The profit you make on selling just one Marriner’s Horn (as a digital item, we’re talking a 100% profit) is more than enough to pay someone in your office, to knock out a quick preview video so we can see what it sounds like, and how it controls.

I’m a musician myself and love the in-game instruments so far, but I can’t justify 800 Gems on an item, a Musical Instrument, no less, when I don’t know what it sounds like.

Shame really. I’m sure it’ll sell to folks with Gems to burn, I’m not denying that, but its a bit of a waste of effort if you don’t sell it properly to people on the fence, who would probably really really enjoy it, like myself.

Feel free to prove me wrong by posting or linking something forum.

Much Love,
Mal

I’d just like to chalk this up as lazy, uninspired and unfinished

Really feels that way.

By the Spirit of Bear! You make me laugh!

A True Norn does not hide that which protects him so as to appear mighty.

A True Norn fully removes his chest armor. Throws it and his weapons into the Maw of a Giant Frost Wurm, and then RETRIEVES HIS ITEMS.

For A True Norn does not hide behind the protection of Numbers, Stats, or Runes. He opens his heart up to blunt force trauma, and then embraces it as he would his own child!

Norn UP, you coward!
