Well yeah, as I said you can gear yourself for some descent survivability while maintaining high backstab damage (hidden killer and power/crit power gear) but you lose most of your damage on everything else and that works bests when fighting packs of glassy newbs. Cant imagine how can you see what I said as calling know thief players newbs.
power food, hidden assassin, infusions(which is +70 power), and if you really want to, stacks.
You can do same (eat foods, get stacks, infusions) while wearing full berserker for much more damage, your point? “Love you long time” snuffles damage comes from backstab, period. Built around ganking glassy newbs.

Same as to players that build their damage only around backstab by sacrifising all precision, simply because you wont be able to outdps serious tanky builds with only kitten power of backstab (loss of power and crit damage of all the cavalier and pvt added), specially when its 1 vs X and there is some group support involved. And yes good players can lose to zerkers and bunkers alike.
Lets say its a 1v3 and all the players are good
The Zerker stands no chance
Now with the high toughness backstab build, you now have a chance to kill them and surviveand if you see yishis videos, he uses quite a bit of zerk gear and yes he wins his outnumbered fights but the people he fights are a joke
he posts vids of him fighting braindead people lmaoSame as everytime someone wins 1 vs X. He just fought some braindead ppl. If its 1vs3 and all players are good, that 1 stands no chance no matter if hes full zerker or full sentinel.
if played perfectly, the high toughness build will never die

d/p is the easiest but if youre not good then any decent s/d thief can easily wreck you

Emm this is basic everyday d/p build just with tanky gear- solely based on hidden killer and backstab crits. And you act like you uncovered some deep hidden secret or smth lol.

hardly anyone knows about this build, when you say you have over 2k toughness and you still hit like a truck…everyone just says youre trolling or lying

Lets assume for a sec you full ascended gear and you have 3175 attack (1030 Damage from Ascended Weapon) and 94% crit damage and 31% crit chance.
(1030*2145)*2.4/2350 armor (vs a 30 SA thief) = 2256 damage * 2.44 crit damage = 5505 Backstab or 2752 Facestab.
That is hardly “hit like a truck” unless you’re referring to toy model. What happens when you fight people with higher armor?
Vs 2800 armor
(1030*2145)*2.4/2800+ armor (build with some toughness) = 1893 damage * 2.44 crit damage = 4620 Backstab or 2310 Facestab.Vs 3200
(1030*2145)*2.4/3200+ armor (high toughness build) = 1657 damage * 2.44 crit damage = 4043 Backstab or 2021 Facestab.You need to land BS 3-4 times before you can kill anything.
I haven’t even factored in the low AA damage due to low power and crit chance or how build lacks movement speed. Goodluck trying to AA people with swiftness.
I ran something similar over a year ago and I personally do not like it because I like to play burst build. Just because people do not share their builds, it doesn’t mean we don’t know about or tried it.

whenever you enter stealth you gain might, the thief usually ends up with 8-10 stacks of might, sometimes 12 with hidden assassin, which is the GM minor trait
also, snuffles does not use this but she said you could use this trait called Furious retalation, which grants you fury when your target reaches 50% hp
with this. you bascially become a zerker again when they reach 50% hp but a zerker with 2k toughness
plus you would be surprised how much 31% can crit…
dont listen to maugetarr, no regen in stealth? okay might as well go full zerker
you obviously need a better build and better skills because other thieves wreck everything
