Everytime I restart the game, it downloads 10,236 kb. Started when I installed Windows 8. Not a big deal, just kinda weird.
Interesting…. i could OC the CPU a lot more i’ve had it at 4.2ghz+ before but im fairly content with my performance at the moment but it could be better.
Thats weird how they made it that way… Its like everquest 2 all over again. SOE thought people would be running single core CPUS at really high frequencies which wasnt the case so performance was a huge issue in that game still is even for some people.
You’d think that in todays day and age all developers realize to make a game with the knowledge that most people are using quad cores and up.
Perhaps since GW2 was in development for so long they overlooked the fact shrug

i5 2500k 3.6ghz
GTX 570 @850 core Shader 1700 (Could go way higher with my card like 950 core but dont see the point to stress the card)
GPU usage is around 50%
CPU usage also around 50%
Playing fully maxxed out at 1080p
Getting 50ish fps on average
Dips to 30s, 40s on scene changes etc
Never 60+
Clearly there is a problem with the game and how its handling resources. Also better drivers would probably help. When do you guys think we will see some big improvements?
I will be upgrading to a GTX 670 next week because i can :P and maybe that’ll net me a bigger fps or it could get worse. Though im doing it mostly for BF3 and Crysis 3 and expect GW2 to have improvements soon?

Okay this is bothering the hell out of me and i dont even know what to google to find the answer to lol but i was wondering what is that number in the menu at the bottom left corner its like GW2: 13,395 or some other random assortment of numbers.
It was in GW1 as well and i have no idea what it means lol is that like the server population? Or something else?
