Guild Wars 2

Having the same issues. Tried repairing the game and also deleting the local.dat file.

Myself and the main Leader and raid-leader are quitting the game along with several other core members. Other members are going their own way, some are staying on the server joining other guilds. Some are changing server to roam.

On behalf of all members of Flare [FIRE] EU I would like to thank all the guilds we have faced on the field. Since we formed from PUGs just before the SFR free transfers crash we have fought in over 25 GvG’s. Official or unofficial. Win or lose we thank-you for the time and pleasure you have given us. We wish all the best for those guilds in their future endeavors and we hope that one day you can continue with GvGs. Thanks again for everything. This awesome community has been the reason to play. We will have our last ever GvG on Monday evening, but that’s all she wrote.

Will have to disagree on that one : Vizunah’s PUG zergs are actually really bad atm.
Not even joking. Lots of people transfered before the start of the summer for an easy faceroll karmatrain. Today the result pains those who have lived on Vizu for long : people not following commanders, highly debatable specs and general lack of vision and spirit.
SFR’s zerg is much much better. Deso’s zerg is better.

That’s why I said most. I know both SFR’s and Deso’s pugs are better than yours, but remember you are up against rank 9 and 13 servers.

Just remember you viz “heroes” that a few of our guilds (TUP, Vcy, FIRE and VII on Kodash) have all fought you before (at least I think TUP and VII have). With us and Vcy being on SFR before the free transfers crash. So we know all about you and your play. We know how bad you are. You may have organised PUG zergs better than most, including ours (so respect for that), but as a guild we will stomp all over you as the guilds always have. So enjoy your ppt against servers which obviously don’t stand a chance to win, run and hide in your keeps as you always have, and make yourselves feel good about beating us. We don’t care that your winning.

Looking forward to more fights this week VII/EoW and any other guilds that we run into Been a pleasure so far and I hope it continues.

Guys chill with all the blob talk please. Just have fun and enjoy the week. This is probably my most enjoyable one for the last few weeks. Respectful and tough opponents.

Blobs are bound to happen more over the weekend as all the kids/people who don’t work come online. So just accept it and move on please.

I wouldn’t go that far xD we and our good friends at CRUX have a mutual agreement to not push together, it makes the fight too blobby if we did and that’s no fun xD. If you have a look next time you will notice us or CRUX casually waiting on the side until the other is defeated. But anywhos, a lot of fun today, this is a jolly good week

exactly, a few hours later after we waited and waited for you guys to split up. But no, you still ran together as one blob. Even when we (FIRE) did have/give assistance we didn’t follow one commander round, we flanked, we drew out, we actually used tactics. Not once did we follow another guild/server commander, and not once did another guild/group follow us.

Even so, I did have a very enjoyable night in WvW and you guys did give challenging fights, so I thank you for that.

Very disapointed in AM tonight in FS BL, blobbing with multiple guilds together and even placing AC’s in open field when they have 40+ easily compared to our 18…

Necros are very useful in a zerg or GvG fight, as long as you play them right. People who don’t understand them or know what they do usually think they are poor.

A power based build utilising wells and now spectral wall can be used to boon strip through WoC, apply darkness (and chill if traited) with both well of darkness and plague form number 2. Well of power converts conditions on allies to boons and also removes stun now. All the time doing decent damage and decent survivability.

Dont underestimate them. If you do, you probably don’t know much.

I use my Necro as a Lich zerg breaker.I time my runs just right in spectral armour and walk,lay down all my aoe’s, and just crash in through an enemy zerg in Lich form.If the rest of our players are following behind they benefit from the chaos I am causing.And I sweep in and out,and finish up in death shroud around the edges draining life force.

9 times out of 10 I have sent zergs running with a good push of players behind me.Even if I die it is an adrenalin surge steaming in,and watch my corpse get surrounded by loot bags.Also helps being a pink haired fluffy Asura,turning into a 20 foot Lich.

Anyone playing on EU Desolation lately can vouch for this.

Im assuming you class your self as a Player? and if i can imagine this correctly your actually fight other players in WvW? which in sense would make it Player vs Player abbreviated as PvP.
Did I just get this right? or has Seed just convinced me that I dont actually fight other players in WvW? and all these people on this forum i play against are actually NPC’s?

Well, thank you for the explanation of the terminology on PvP. The difference is that you are talking PvP with PvE equipment and stats. I am talking of PvP with PvP equipment and stats. I do not recall that players can use PvP equipment on WvW. Ergo WvW is PvE. Well, maybe PvPvE. Once you unsterstand that difference, of what i am saying, we can continue our conversation.

Maybe once you understand the difference between the different modes of PvP people might not think you’re such an…. I know, it might be a big shock so you had better sit down.

As people have previously mentioned, PvP = Player versus Player. PvE = Player versus environment. So WvW incorporates both modes, PvP due to fighting players, and PvE due to fighting guards/doors/lords. The deciding factor in the mode of game-play though is the PvP, as it was meant to be.

You’ve kept mentioning that PvP is pvp because you have PvP armor and weapons. Can you not get the same gear for WvW? Of course you can, you were meant to get a certain type of gear and weapons designed for the PvP WvW, hence why at the start of GW2, the only gear offered through badges was P/V/T. If I wanted to, i could get the exact same stats on my WvW gear as my sPvP/tPvP gear. Just because you can’t immediately get whatever gear you want for free (as you can in sPVP + in GW1) does not mean it isn’t a form of PvP.

Next thing, PvP does require skill, tactic and teamplay yea, but it ALSO requires the right build matching with the right EQUIPMENT to be efficient enough. Exactly the same as how using the right gear, food buff, build and yes, also skill, tactics and teamplay (especially underappreciated by people who have no idea what these 3 things mean in WvW) in WvW also increases your efficiency.

So stop your kittening and trying to act all high and mighty when i seriously doubt anyone honestly agrees with you and get back in-game to your zerg with your upscaled berserker geared toons.

You’ve said it on this topic, you’ve said it on the other topic, you’ve made your OWN topic about it. How about you deal with it now. We’ve heard it all before. You can either put some effort in and get organised to take the places, or just wait until Anet bring in something to change it, which they said they are working on after over 9000 other topics about this.

PVT over zerker any day. The only thing you have to do to keep your damage up is depending on how good your raid is at healing/buffing/staying alive etc, you then start swapping out bits of gear for knights/cavalier’s etc depending on what role you play. You always need defensive stats up high otherwise your going to be damaging your raid/guild more than helping them.

As a necro I run with 26k hp and 2.8k armor

Ok, so first you didn’t recruit and now you “expressed an interest” in FIRE.

They did not “recruit” us. We’ve played on the same server as them for many months, and have enjoyed it, were friendly with them. We moved to Gunnar’s for our own reasons, but quite a few of our members haven’t been enjoying it from the get go (there is a large difference between GH and SFR, and for some people it wasn’t a positive one). We haven’t decided to move to RoS purely because of all the “influx” of guilds. It was under discussion before VoTF, FRS etc moved there, only ones that were are VcY and Riot, and talks were going on before we even faced them in a matchup. We did not also immediately choose RoS, we’ve had a poll going on for a while.

Please calm down with all the kittening, its only making things worse and enjoy the game, RoS will move up soon, then things can return back to normal. I’ve personally enjoyed my time on GH, and wish them all the best.
