It of course has no effect on my gathering addiction, completing maps on my 80s (for the joy of exploration at least), and stories I get immersed in with certain events, but then it keeps going back to that feeling of I’m wasting my time since I’m getting XP for every little thing I do as a reminder. So the option to turn off XP pop-ups would be a nice alternative.

This resonates with me, but sadly this issue is at least making me second-guess myself before I start a map completion in Tyria on my L80s, just because I think to myself:

“am I wasting experience now that might be more useful/profitable to earn in future”

such as if Anet add a post-80 levelling reward in future, like we’re asking for, or if they decide to add more Tyria mastery tracks when the next expansion comes out.

I mean sure, you can still earn experience from events, even if you have 100% world completion on all of your characters, but not as quickly as if the events and moving between them was contributing to also getting xp from hearts/PoIs/exploration at the same time.

On the bright side this is making me do HoT zones more often, but the time will come when I finish my mastery tracks in the expansion too.

I just completed all of my Tyria masteries, so I’m feeling this too.

I would like to be able to earn xp again – and get something for completing a level.

What I would like to see is an account-bound reward chest granted for each level, that when opened would give us a choice from several rewards (somewhat like the 28th day log-in reward chest does).

The list of reward choices could include (in whatever amounts Anet decided were balanced):

- tome(s) of knowledge / spirit shard(s)
- mystic coin(s)
- mystic forge stone(s)
- obsidian shard(s)
- laurel(s)
- gem(s)
- or even just an amount of in-game money

This would ensure that the reward remained relevant to every player, no matter what objectives they were working towards at the time.

I would like it if that reward chest was stackable too
