I still think that if GW2 hits all the marks, nothing else will satisfy, but the tacos/pizza analogy above makes some sense.
That’s really not the case. I actually know Averath and he was a kitten for even posting that analogy.
Edit: Wow, these forums censor the word

And the OP can easily come back to GW2 later, which isn’t so true of most any other MMO).
True and because of how much I love the game I’d like to be able to one day although I strongly doubt it. We’ll see.

Depending on your device’s OS you could try something like PDANet to get around that limit. Before you try something like that you should definitely learn the risks though. Some wireless providers don’t care, others will cut off your internet access entirely. I’ve made limited use of mine (~500mb a month, normally my plan includes 3gb) with no problem for half a year.
There is no MMO similar to GW2 that does everything it does as well AFAIK.
An alternative wouldn’t have to do everything GW2 does. While there’s certainly a list of things I want, I’ll take a look at most things that aren’t just straight up WoW clones.
I just wanted to get a feel for whether it was a straight up question or whether it was a precursor to a larger, passive aggressive comment on the game. I guess I’ll watch and see how it develops.
I see some people mention TESO. I tried for about a day. I didn’t like how my characters looked and felt moving around. For better or worse, if I don’t like my characters, I won’t really feel like hanging out with them in their world.
It’s a straight up question. I’m moving on & not here to whine.
I’m with you on the characters. Because of the customization I’ve gotten more attached to my GW2 toons than I have to my characters from any other game, even the ones that I played for much longer.
Out of those, currently Tera is my favorite go to for when GW2 is boring. I just LOVE the combat system in Tera, like seriously.
But you didn’t really go into great details on what your looking for here. Other the Cosmetic customizations, Build diversities, and the like.
Someone told me there is absolutely no auto attacking in Tera. It might seem like a small quibble, but wouldn’t that give your finger and your mouse buttons too much of a workout?
I could probably spend all day listing what I like about GW2 so I opted for brevity. The dynamic world, the way they encourage people to work together, the way that the different weapons have such distinct play styles, the minimalist approach to skill bars, the story & acting, the art style, I could pretty much keep going. In the end I am sure there’s nothing that’s going to be a really close match so just leaving general descriptions seemed like the safest idea so people wouldn’t leave something out of their suggestions just because it wasn’t basically Guild Wars 2.1.
The most important aspects are probably flexible character classes (I don’t consider multiple DPS specializations for one class to be flexibility), active combat (no spamming skills that root me in place, everything being auto targeted, etc), aesthetic customization.
Since you didn’t say what you liked it’s tough to key in what would be to your liking.
Did you just mean you needed more detail?
Guild Wars 2 combines so many features that I like that it’ll be a nearly impossible act to follow, but I’m going to try anyway.
If it has what you want, then why?
In the interest of keeping the thread on topic I’d rather not go into it. Let’s just say I’d rather not have to but I’m going to find another game.

If you have any suggestions please let me know. Telling me why you like a particular game would be much more helpful than just telling me a title but either works.
Edit: Oh, and no gear treadmill! That’s really important as well.
Edit too/two/tutu: Looking for high fantasy or sci-fi. Something (slightly) more grounded like The Secret World probably wouldn’t do it for me.

Can you not do the daily key maker achievement in a town?
I just tried it twice in Lion’s Arch with no luck.
How appropriate. Every time I log back in some Asuran NPC keeps saying “Failure was NOT part of my equation.”
please please please ban the abusers I cant even get back onto my main who DCd when someone in LA used the code. Network error..
Seconded. If someone’s doing it once or twice on accident that’s fine, but if someone is spamming this deliberately they deserve an outright perma ban.
Found the answer to my question.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Achievement#Achievement_rewards
Only if you don’t ever get any more achievements. They will continue to be rewarded as you get them.
Any idea how many times we’ll be awarded a chest with Zenith skins overall? Is there a certain point interval? The GW2 wiki says “Up to seven skins are known to be unlocked” but doesn’t provide any more information or cite a source.
You sound like a fun & friendly group that could be just what I’m looking for. There are some things I’d like to ask first.
1) How much of the time do you require members to represent?
2) How important is it that someone transfer? I’m currently on another server, and while I could eventually transfer to Blackgate it wouldn’t, as I understand it, really grant me any extra privileges aside from doing WvW which is something I have almost no interest in therefor it doesn’t seem like it’d be worth the real or in-game money expenditure.
3) How often do you do guild activities, and what kinds of activities do you do? Most every guild will do dungeons, PvP, etc together, but how often do you equip wedding dresses & pitch forks and go raid Southshore? Oh wait, wrong game. <.<
4) I’m an incurable alt-oholic, which means I’ll be leveling and gearing up extremely slowly. Is that a problem of any sort?
5) What sort of conduct do you expect from your members? I tend to be “lovingly vulgar” as someone put it. While I can and regularly do curb my language, it’s always more fun to just be yourself rather than feeling like you have to censor yourself all the time. To what extent should I expect to rein myself in?
6) Not so much a question, but something I like to let people know in advance is that I’m a music junkie, well and truly addicted. While I don’t mind getting on voice coms for organized events I don’t get on most of the time because listening to music while people are chattering on Mumble is like watching your favourite film with someone waving their hands in front of the screen. Your site says the minimum is once a week which isn’t a problem at all. I just wanted to let you know that if I’m not on voice coms it’s not because I’m being distant. It’s just that I require music like a fish requires water.

Thanks for the link, Swim.
Are they not intended to count toward the meta achievement, or is this just a bug? After winning 20 matches of dragon ball and playing over 20, I’m still only at 3/10 for The Dragon Bash Experience – having also finished Zhaitasty, Colour the Sky, and Meet the Hosts.
Apologies if this has already been covered in another thread but searching for “dragon ball achievement” and “dragonball achievement” didn’t show any results.
