Sigil slots for legendary weapons next update

More then likely you will loose your sigil slot, but the stats will be the same. Ascended gear is equal to Exotic + Sigil. So with the release of Ascended Weapons (and Legendary’s being upgraded to match those stats) your legendary will have the same base stats as one with the Sigil.
I hope the majority can agree as well. I know me personally, when/if I ever hit the Legendary rank, I want it to be a HUGE deal, and I want to stay at a Legendary rank, not downgrade back to an Invader haha.
Changed it up a little bit given everyone’s feedback (and keep the feedback coming! the more Anet see’s this, the more likely they are to change it)
- Moved Champion down in the rankings, as Achilles sated, they truly are just glorified Knights haha.
- Moved Scout up in the rankings. Genev has a point. Scouts tend to report and communicate directly with the leaders of an army, and are responsible for intel that could make or break a battle. To me this is more important then all three Invader, Raider, or Assaulter. (you can always send in more men. Finding ones you trust, however, more difficult)
As for the Invader, Raider, Assaulter ranks. I think Anet just came up with those on the spot for filler and were pressed for time. Can any of you think of better names for some, if not all of those ranks?
So after reading a bunch of forums posts, and talking to people in WvW, its obvious that the ranking system needs to be fixed/adjusted. I took the liberty to create a document that showcases how, personally, I feel the ranks should be changed up.
Major Change:
- Ranks I arranged in a way where type, means less then the actual title. Getting to the rank of Legend, only to be bumped town to a Bronze Invader, seems like a downgrade. I feel like once you earn the rank of, say a Soldier, you should only move up from there, not back down in rank.
Some of the minor changes:
- Recruit is the newbie rank (as it probably should be)
- Squire I put after as I feel squires are seen as an “apprentice” title
- Most can agree that Footman should be MUCH lower in rank
- Scout I feel would be a lower rank then someone who is trusted to Invade a different land?
- I moved Veteran down as I feel like its definitely a lower rank then Major, but higher then a Soldier.

Always have fun running with these guys in both WvW and Dungeons. Never a dull moment when I’m on their vent either haha. Definitely a great guild worth considering for anyone, gay or straight.
The difference between GW1 and GW2 is that GW1 is as much a mmo as Vindictus is (which isn’t much) . GW2 is a completely different game. It takes on more traditional mmo aspects, as much as some people would like to disagree. In all mainstream, successful mmos, there have been caps on how many specs you are able to have, and the price per spec increases with the more you purchase.
Also I highly doubt Anet will go from 0 – infinite, its much more likely just to start off asking for a set number and hope Christmas comes early.
Personally I think gold has every right in WvW as it does in PvE, Anet just needs to adjust a few things.
-First of all its absolutely ridiculous that armor breaks in WvW, never in any other game has this been a factor. If a player hits you, and you die due to it, then no armor damage should be done, end of story.
-Second is waypoints. Waypoints guilds setup in the middle of the map should cost money, however reviving at your home base should be free, simple.
Take care of those two things and gold wont be a issue in WvW anymore.

PvE/WvW
- Make it so you have to buy each extra spec; 1g for the first, 5g for the second, and 25g for the 3rd. Extra specs should not be cheap!
- Make it so you can only switch specs out of combat, and put a 3m cooldown on switching, as not to make it too overpowered. (Remove the cooldown if in a City)
sPvP
- Make unlocking extra specs purchasable with Glory (I don’t sPvP so I can’t say how much each rank should cost, but keep it in line with PvE/WvW costs)
-Switching specs in sPvP can be done with no cooldown outside of a match, in the Heart of the Mists. However once you enter a battle, a cooldown of 2 min is applied (personaly I would vote for not being able to switch at all in a battle, but I would get flamed by all the hardcore sPvP people out there lol)

Not sure if this is a QoL issue, but our weapon stats are not transferred to our Kits.
This this 100% this! Whats the point of having +power or +vitality on our weapons if were not even going to use them? And don’t get me started on how useless slotting gems in weapons are.
This is my number 1 concern and it desperately needs to be addressed.
My main is a necro and I play duel daggers all the time in PvE very successfully. They key to this build, and to surviving in melee range is Blinds. With dagger off hand you get one blind on a very short cooldown (17sec if traited) and for you skills you can use shadow fiend to blind (14 sec cooldown) and also well of darkness for AoE long term blind (1min cooldown)

Also with the Flesh Golem. You can knock down multiple enemies, adding even more survivability. The key is to start off with Enfeebling Blood, then as you run into melee, Life Siphon, Once in melee alternate between your 3 blinds/1 knock down, and a cycle of your main auto attack. It works perfectly and you almost never get hit and your pets take almost no damage. If for some reason your pets are about to die, plop Well of Blood and there back up again!
This build is amazing and works wonders for me.
So first of all I would like to point out that I LOVE love love the GW2 music and sounds used in the game. I also realize that there is a option to add your own music into the game via playlists however to my understanding, when you do this, you completely replace the gw2 music used in that category.
I’m curious if there is a way to ADD songs/music into the game without completely replacing the already existing epic music, just to add a bit more verity?
