Ambience sound resembles something...

The ‘Uhhh’ lady is having a real good time in Divinity’s Reach, it seems. I’ve explored DR many times and never heard this, but she’s going off constantly around Tixx’s dungeon entrance today, and elsewhere in the city.

Besides it sounding like what it sounds like, it also seems to be much louder than any other ambient voices. There’s gotta be something bugged out about this.

Norn Bear Form

I really enjoy bear form. What were you fighting? I’ve had no trouble using bear form solo against Veteran mobs, or anything else I might solo. I even use it in big group fights against champion mobs in events, and have never died, or had to worry about my health. It’s a little sketchy in dungeons, but I’ve used it vs a solo dungeon silver/gold non-boss effectively, as well.

If you’re going in expecting to do more than you can in your normal form, maybe that’s not a great idea. I certainly wouldn’t call the forms useless, though.

Necromancer Minion Issues.

I’ve basically given up leveling my now 24 necromancer with the pets I was so excited to get. He’s going scepter/dagger with lots of AoE skills now.

Everything people are saying is accurate. Necro pets need some loving. Regen out of combat would be huge. Making them more responsive is absolutely necessary—the Shadow Fiend just derps near me when I’m fighting a lot of the time.

I don’t think we need a UI for our pets; the bugs just need to get worked out. They could also use more health, or scale off the necro’s stats so they’re tougher, or do more damage based on how you spec (beyond the traits that do those specific things).

It’s nearly impossible to PvE with pets, since they just die to equal level mobs so easily, and prove untrustworthy when you start a fight.

jagged horror trait discussion

I’d also like to see something happen with this trait. The suggestions already made are pretty good, and likely what needs to be done.

Just to add to the consensus then, I think Jagged Horrors would be fixed by any or all of the following:

- reducing the degen, or changing how it functions (always taking certain damage when attacked)
- reducing the cooldown
- spawning on something besides death, such as crits, or a certain amount of bleed damage done to a single target
- changing their spawn location from near the necromancer, to near the target killed

That last point hadn’t been mentioned yet, but I think it’s important. Since they spawn near the necro like other pets, it often degens before it even reaches the next target in many fights.

Since I’m trying to make a pet necro work (and necro pets have other issues), I really hope ANet gives this trait some attention.
