I would guess this is something that is incoming given the new appearance additions to the BLTC. At least I hope so, especially since you can do a gender change now.

Why Skin Wardrobe should be a high-priority

I agree with a wardrobe tab being added to the game. The current system of destroying equipment to transmute it makes me MUCH less likely to use/buy transmutation stones than if there was a system that allowed for cheap, easy storage of gear sets and a cheap/easy way to switch between armor and weapon skins.

I am willing to pay a transmutation stone cost to add them to my permanent wardrobe slot; however, I’m not willing to pay to transmute armor on a one time use that destroys the skin of the transmuted item. I haven’t bought transmutation stones from the cash shop yet and currently have no plans of doing so in the future. Plus, being a completionist and collector at heart this would add an insane amount longevity to the game.

I would prefer to see this as an account bound feature though; adding artificial barriers of entry for alt play (i.e. starting the game over from scratch) doesn’t encourage me to play alts. I think alts should have to play to level 80 and get exotic gear (stats) themselves but not have to repeat the grind for skins that has already been done by your account. You’d still have to run a dungeon enough times to get all three sets (light, medium, heavy) and weapons before I would be considered to be ‘done’ with a dungeon so I don’t see why this would decrease dungeon population.

To elaborate my reasoning on dungeon populations, even over time: How many times would an account have to run a dungeon to unlock everything from it? What are the current averages accounts are running (alts included) dungeons currently? How likely are accounts to run a dungeon multiple times for a full set of gear they’ve already unlocked on another character? How long does it take a player(not how many runs, but how long a period of time), once they decide to unlock a specific dungeon set, to unlock it and stop running the dungeon currently? There are other factors to consider and I would need data to verify it and run probabilities but I doubt very much that the average account (or even lucrative accounts, where the money is) has/will run any dungeon that many times before they stop going there anyways out of sheer repetitive boredom.

I hope the new game island doesn’t have risen on it. I love love love this game but am tired of fighting risen, and to a lesser extent centaurs. I’m excited for the update.

What's the point in having levels?

I’ve wondered this about the game since I started playing. There is nothing wrong with leveling but it doesn’t feel like it belongs in this game from the way the game was designed.

They put various mechanics in game to get people into all the zones; even if you are above level they want you out exploring areas. The way map completion, DE’s, downscaling, etc. works encourage you to see everything. Then they put one big mechanic in that greatly discourages exploration and being out and about: leveling and a level scaled rewards system.

I get wanting to have a sense of progression for your character, but leveling? Leveling as a tool for progression has pitfalls. If leveling gives a sense of progression, doesn’t going back to old zones, being down-leveled, given low level rewards feel like regression? To me it does. Sure I feel more powerful than low level content and it’s still fun to do but from a progression standpoint, it’s counterproductive to visit low level areas.

As mentioned by others though, leveling is a sacred cow in gaming, esp RPG’s. Take it out and people will immediately assume the game has no direction or progression, making it difficult to scrap from the marketing side of development.

I like this suggestion, has bugged me from day 1, not too much but I’d like to see it implemented.
