Which that spelling and argumentation I can’t take you seriously. The legendary weapons are quite funny, but considering the amount of time spent on getting them, it’s a joke.
Bible of suggestions for Guild Wars 2's Lack of Longevity

I agree with the individualism part. I remember that in pretty much every MMO I played, there was a really good player that everyone knew. In Guild Wars 2, there’s no hiërarchy between players. You can’t distinguish yourself from all the other players. No matter how great I do in dungeons, WvW or spvp, nobody remembers me for it. There’s no way to be a notch above the rest. Maybe a legendary weapon, but that would just show that you are filthy rich and that you have too much time on your hands. Isn’t the point of an RPG to distinguish yourself from others? Right now it just feels like we’re a herd, all wearing the same badges and armour.
Hello ArenaNet,
I hope you have the time to read this post, as it could provide you with some feedback on the current state of mind of the community that I play with.
The main thing that I find lacking in Guild Wars 2 is the lack of a group feeling. A guild is nice, but I never got to know any of the people I am in the guild with, even though I occassionally do dungeons and WvW with them.
I have heard a lot of people say that the endgame of Guild Wars 2 is repetive and dull. I can see where they are coming from, and I cannot help but to agree with them. The only things worthwhile are:
- Explorable dungeons
- WvWvW
- Heart of the Mist
Other than that, the game is lacking an endgame. Maybe it’s the Equilibrium gear system, but in a way that system is a good thing.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love Guild Wars 2 and the community. But I’m a bit dissapointed by the lack of “Epic Fights.” The first time you fight a dragon like The Shatterer, it’s a wonderful experience and it’s extremely epic. However, after killing him a few times, it gets repetive and a farm for loot.
I appreciate the fact that GW2 tries to be a completely different MMO, and I’m glad that the ‘Tank and Spank’ metagame no longer plays a part. However, the system isn’t quite as epic as many of us would’ve hoped. I personally think this is because of the lack of large-scale structured PvE content.
I’m suggesting a raid dungeon. This may seem cliché, but as a veteran WoW player I can say that getting together with a group of strangers in a guild to raid was great. Over the months, you got to know the players, their behaviour and so forth. I don’t get this feeling when I play GW2, which is a dissapointment for me.
My most fond memories of raid dungeons were the Vanilla WoW raid dungeons. They were hard, straightforward and rewarding. You really got to know and love your fellow guild members when you finally cleared that difficult boss. I have an example that I want to show you. Maybe it could inspire your team towards even greater achievements!

It shouldn’t be a tank-and-spank dungeon. Ever. The new system is what makes Guild Wars 2 fun and exciting. The loot dropped in those dungeons also shouldn’t be better than regular Exotic gear. Consider dropping extraordinary designed armour, so people have some real incentive to take part in high-end content. Maybe the raid gear could have a special effect when fighting PvE monsters, but not players? Sigils and Runes could be one-of-a-kind drop there. Maybe you could make a quest chain to get legendary armour. The possibilities are endless.
Some of my friends even stopped playing because of the repetive end-game. I believe that a raid dungeon is a completely new challenge for the ArenaNet team, and I believe that you can make something work. I understand that it’s good to distance yourself from conventional MMO’s, but don’t forget what makes an MMO great: The feeling of accomplishment. Nowadays, when you down another explorable boss, it feels like just another step towards getting an exotic armour piece that is slightly prettier than the one you have now.
I really hope you get to read this thread and that it may inspire you to improve your game even further. I may be a bit nostalgic for the old WoW, but I believe Guild Wars 2 can surpass WoW’s old greatness if a little more work is put into team building.

I agree with the general context of this post. I personally find the lack of large structured PvE content the most dissapointing. While you have dragons that respawn once every 3 hours, the feel of achieving something with your friends is not there. Also, the lack of unequality in gear is dissapointing. I would be ok with a certain degree of unequality in PvE gear, so that you have something to strive for.
