I’m also upset by this feature. Seems like a basic oversight. All channels should be blocked when someone is blocked.
I disagree that creating more tickets doesn’t help the problem. The reality is, the noisiest wheels get the oil. The number of tickets in the queue for a certain issue is a factor in considering the prioritization on each issue for the bugfix team to address.
If the support team has a billion tickets related to one issue clogging up their system you can bet that they’re going to at least be more aware of those issues, let alone possibly prioritize those issues.
I submitted a bug report, and everyone else should do the same.
